What topic do you consider too serious/sacred/important, etc. to joke about? And what do you do if a friend or someone you work with crosses that line? Do you laugh anyway?

I've heard rumours, but I'd really prefer sprawling biblical text to describe the place in poignant language.

our cars . is it male or female ..
if it is male .. then can scientists make or design female cars .
if it is female . then can they make or design male cars ..

so the two kinds can marry .. and we will never need to car factories ..
is it possible or not ..

my point is : if it is impossible .. how could evolution make and design male and femele of humans , insects , birds .. etc ..
but we can't make or design male and female cars ..
is it an ordinary thing (sex concept) .
can this concept exist without god ( a very able and very clever one ) ..

Well, my god said he was the way, the truth and the life. He was sinless, yet still died a torturous death all for me, and you too. He rose from the dead, so that i could, if i just simply believed in him, go to eternal paradise with him when i die. PRAISE JESUS! Do you love Jesus, with all your heart, soul, mind and strength? I do. Jesus is Lord.

I know god answers people's prayers because all religious people have said so and yet mine goes unaswered. I've even poured some holy water on it and nothing.
Should I go to a priest and ask him to heal me since he is more connected to god than me or should I go to the emergency room?

The word "pray" has a lot of meanings, howvever religious ppl when ask you to "pray" actually they ask you to evade the reality... they wish! They cannot escape the reality, maybe when they die, but then they cannot make any difference anyway

I am seeking your personal experiences and thoughts (for or against) reincarnation.

I've always had the feeling that reincarnation really happens, though I have had hardly any 'remembrence' experiences that I can recall. Maybe a very real de ja vu experience here and there, and the odd dream or two that I usually can't remember much of when I wake, but had the feeling I knew what it was.

Was wondering what your thoughts were on the subject, and maybe if you had any interesting literature on the subject. Thanks!

I am not saying that the Bible is not a great book, and indeed there is much wisdom in it. However, this is a text that was written, translated, and re-translated over a period of several thousand years. Over this period of time there are errors in how they are copied. There are also nuances in words that disappear in translation. Why do many people simply state that because it is in the Bible, it is the Truth? The Truth that is in the Bible is held in its timeless wisdom about our relationship to God. It is NOT a scientifically accurate book-- I have heard people tell me that the limited descriptions of the monsters, "Leviathan" and "Behemoth" are accurate descriptions of DINOSAURS! I understand that people beleive that the Bible is the Word of God-- but how can you take poetry (the Psalms, Song of Solomon, etc.) literally? How about the parts that contradict each other (ie the two creation accounts in Genesis-- how can the world be created twice?). Why do people believe this?

Anyway pink is for women and girls! If he's any kind of man he would have worn darker a man color.

The world stinks because of Bush and his idea for dealing with our gas problems by opening up wildlife parks and the economy by relaxing pollution laws and cutting down more trees for big business.

One winter's night I was driving home. The roads were very icy. I had a strong urge to get home via an alternative route, I even subconsciously started taking that route, but I literally stopped and against my inner warning, I took the usual route. Within minutes of this decision, my car skidded off the road and I was in a bad accident. If I had listened to my gut, so much of my time and money could have been saved.

but how is it that we are to allow Christians to interpret the Bible when they can't as a community even decide what a Christian is? I posted a question about that a while back and recieved several varying answers on the topic. I just looked at another question and came to realize that some people see Christ as a peaceful man while others see him as militant. So I ask you, since the Agnostic view of the Bible tends to be consistent, how is it that we are the ones missing something? I am looking for real answers here.

why do they the living God is dead when in reality he lives and breaths and eats, and reigns on heaven and earth. Just because his throne is in heaven and he is in heaven doesnt mean he's dead.

Why is life so predictable? Don't you think angels would be showing themselves to all of us all the time, we would see strange things, here voices, see "signs"???
We already have a scientific explanation for people who do, psychology. So why don't I , we see supernatural occurances all the time?

My name is Cynthia, and I have a couple friends from Spain who pronounce my name "Thintia" because in Spain, C's sound like "th," and they pronounce "th" like "t" because H's don't make sounds in Spanish.

All of these people who do this read my name before I was ever introduced to them in person, but they've heard me say my name before.

Is it rude if I correct them? It's not their fault, that's just how they would say something that was spelled like that. How do you correct someone on something like that?

The main theory in the belief of God is that He gave free will to us humans, but...

A murderer dies and he meets God, and God says, "You did evil, you must be punished,'
The murderer says, "You, my God, gave me free will, and I chose this, so why does that make what I have done, wrong? Surely it is up to me what I do, as you, my God have granted me this free will."

Why should the murderer be punished for his free will, and if so, then why would a God create this person in the first place, knowing (as a God would) what this person is going to do?

But, if the God didn't know what the murderer was going to do, then he couldn't judge such a person, because he granted them that free will to kill.
If he did know the murderer's plans, then we, the human race, are nothing more than puppets or actors reading our lines.
