I don't go to a priest, but I do think before I act & I know that God is watching what I do.

Christians believe in asking God for forgiveness. I'm not Catholic, so I may be wrong on this, but I don't believe Catholics are asking the Priest's forgiveness. And of course sinning is a big deal of an issue. In the Bible, Jesus told the Adulteress to go and sin no more.

I believe that God forgives those who ask for forgiveness. I do not believe that a priest needs to hear my confessions, just God.
The thing about being a Christian is this: we are forgiven by the blood of Jesus. However, by accepting the gift of salvation, we are choosing to give our lives over to the Lord. That means, that hopefully, our sins will be fewer and fewer. The goal is to be more like Jesus.
So to answer your question -- sin is a big deal. But in Christ, you can be forgiven.

I have been taught that all sin is equal in the eyes of God. I don't believe a priest can give God's forgiveness, only the church's. I believe you must confess to God and admit to all sins before you can be forgiven.

As one who does not believe in confessing to priests to gain the forgiveness of God, I cannot say that sinning a little every day is no big deal. When I do sin, however, I know that there is one who is my mediator and that God will forgive me my faults if I ask Him to.

No that's catholics!!! I'm a christian and i pray to God for my sins because that's the only one who can forgive sins. The point of being forgiven is having your sins washed away with the blood of Jesus and repenting not sinning and saying sorry knowing you will do it again completly intentionally.

If you understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ, you come to see that confession is only part of the process of forgiveness. The majority of sins are between you and God. Repentance takes time to accomplish. Many sins took time and planning or else a while for those attitudes to build up so that one was willing to commit the sin. So repentance usually takes as much time or more so to correct that accumulation of attitudes. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we only confess serious sins to a bishop or Church leader, and they are there to help members work on a more disciplined path of repentance. Sin is a big issue - it is the result of pride and thinking one is above the law of God. But thanks to the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we do not have to suffer eternally if we will but offer up a sacrifice of a contrite heart and spirit and renew our commitment to follow the will of God. We believe that He said, "For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent; But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I; Which suffering caused myself...to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit-and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink--Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparation unto the children of men." (Doctrine & Covenants 19:16-19, or any reference from the New Testament will do as well).

The bible tell us to that if we confess our sins before God, He is faithful to forgive us.
It also says to confess our sins to one another (which is part of why catholics confess to other men).
Sin is no more or no less, any thought or action that falls short of the glory of God. And because of sin we are eternally separated from God as God is divine and cannot join with sin.
His Son, Jesus became sin (took on the sins of man) and was crucified so that all men might be saved.
When we confess our sins in the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus cleanses us and makes us holy in God's sight that we may be in His presence through eternity.
Christians aren't flippant towards sin. Yes, we do sin over again because of the failures of our flesh, yet we who belong to Jesus are convicted by the Holy Spirit when we commit a sin and are drawn by the Holy Spirit to confess and repent of that sin.

Not all chiristians beleive that. I ask the lord for forgivness. I beleive that you are only forgiven if you are truly sorry. Since sorry means "regret" then you wouldn't want to sin that way again if you ask for forgiveness.

Your question is SO jumbled that I don't think anyone can follow your question.
Christians of the Protestant faith only ask GOD for forgiveness.
Maybe your question should be clearer before submission.
God Bless.
