I am seeking your personal experiences and thoughts (for or against) reincarnation.

I've always had the feeling that reincarnation really happens, though I have had hardly any 'remembrence' experiences that I can recall. Maybe a very real de ja vu experience here and there, and the odd dream or two that I usually can't remember much of when I wake, but had the feeling I knew what it was.

Was wondering what your thoughts were on the subject, and maybe if you had any interesting literature on the subject. Thanks!

Reincarnation is the Rosetta Stone that makes sense of life and beyond. It is the _only_ doctrine that is capable of describing a perfect God. No religion even comes close. Only an understanding of reincarnation can reveal the true and perfect God. Reincarnation is a law of the Cosmos, like physics, sciences; everything is connected and intertwined.

I was born with a headfull of memories of my life in the early 20th century. Like the kids described by Dr. Ian Stevenson, I prattled on about my other life as soon as I could talk. I was sure I had another mother somewhere and often talked about her. When I was old enough to walk, I sneaked out the back door and toddled into the woods, trying to find my way back home. I distinctly remember, when I was very small, looking in the mirror and trying to figure out how I got inside a child's body. I knew what my name had been and many details of my previous life, and I knew the circumstances of my death. Because of that, I was fascinated with death and I begged my dad to take me to cemeteries; I was searching for my own grave.

If you'd like to explore your history, you might like the book by Michael Hathaway called "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Past Life Regression." The title is silly, but there's a wealth of information there. And one must-read book (which I refer to as the bible of Reincarnation) is "Reincarnation: The Phoenix Fire Mystery."

Most Reincarnationists I know are big fans of Brian Weiss and his books. For people with a more mainstream Christian/mystical bent, I would recommend "Many Mansions" by Gina Cerminera.

A good site on the subject is http://www.childpastlives.org

Good luck with your personal journey.

As an Orthodox Christian I don't believe in reincarnation. There are many points one could make on the subject, but the one question that always comes to mind for me is this. If the idea is that people are reincarnated so that they can grow spiritually and "learn lessons", it implies that every time someone is reincarnated, they should be a little bit wiser - a little bit more developed - based on their experiences in their last life, right? So if all the people who ever lived on earth are constantly being reincarnated, everyone getting a little wiser and a little more developed each time around, then shouldn't the planet as a whole be getting better over time? And by better, I don't mean higher technology or faster cars or whatever - I mean better in a spiritual sense. More compassionate people; less poverty; less violence and war; more enlightened societies; etc.

Look around you - does it look like that's happening? Does it look like human kind is really progressing or evolving over the centuries and ages? At least to the extent that the theory of reincarnation would imply?

Some one will undoubtedly say that "this world is just a station that people pass through and then leave" - so when they become developed enough, they don't have to come back here. It's only those who are still developing that remain. But even if that were true, the spiritual quality should tend to improve overall, since those who are still in the process of developing are still here to move the average level higher.

Anyway, in the end, the true argument against reincarnation is that it assumes that the human being is a soul that just inhabits a physical body temporarily, and is free to move about from one body to another. This idea tramples on the mind-body-soul unity that God created the human person with, and it ultimately violates the sanctity of the human person by depriving it of its uniqueness. So a philosophy that pretends to elevate the nature of the soul actually betrays it and disrespects it, and takes away the beauty of the unique identity of every human being created in the image of God and with the potential to attain to His likeness.

I believe in reincarnation and that Earth is a living hell, or charmed existence, for some. So, to be on the safe side of things, fix your personal problems this time around, be sincere and be kind to others. Kindness goes a long way when there are no other solutions to offer those who need your support. If you do come back, maybe there will be more Dharma, than Karma. Who knows.

Read some Edgar Cayce, Ruth Montgomery books. There are more, but these two are a good start.

Reincarnation dose no longer happen like maximum folk think of it dose. you do no longer pass straight away from dying to life interior the perspective of it. After dying you pass to considered one of the different dimensional planes of the Universe; there are 14 alongside with earth, Heavens, and Hells. besides the actuality that there is an probability which you will stay in the international as a ghost. You stay as a non-actual being for customarily around 30-60 years on conventional. Then maximum folk will reincarnate decrease back in the international. Then reckoning on that persons religious point and/or different factors, the guy will the two keep in mind there previous life and/or pre-life or have not have been given any reminiscence of the two. maximum do no longer keep in mind something. additionally as someones religious point grows greater and better the guy can chosen to quit the technique or substitute the cases between each and each incarnation.

If you are truly interested in it you should go to a spiritualist camp and find some books on it. There are lots out there.

I personally do not know about reincarnation. I am sure a christian will tell you to pray about it or something. But the bottom line is that NO ONE and I mean NO ONE knows what is going to happen when they die.

It may just be poof and your gone.

Reincarnation and Karma are facts, whether one believes in it or not. Just as you would hit the ground if you fell, whether or not you believed in gravity.

Many people have knowledge of past lives. But the thing is that it's not necessarily in our own best interest to know these things. What the Almighty deems fit for us to know, (s)he will reveal it to us. Aren't THIS LIFE's mistakes enough to drive us crazy? Do you really need to know what dreadful mistakes we did before?

But there are societies out there who will initiate one into the secrets of other planes, if you really think it is necessary. I, for one, would be cautious of this, because our primary focus should be this life, and then all previous debts will be paid by the grace of God.

To simplify, it's probably best to dig ourselves out of this hole, and not sideways deeper into it.

All the best!

Ur gonna get reincarnated into a dog. Iused to be a Buddhist and since I didn't give enough money to the temple, they said that I would become a dog. Pretty Pathetic.

I do not believe in reincarnation. I believe that we live one life here on this earth, and that after that we spend eternity in one of 2 places - heaven or hell. It's our choice where we spend eternity ... but it's not determined by how good we are, or what good deeds we do for others. Eternal life in heaven is a free gift of God offered through the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ.

Reincarnation is a Hindu myth that simply gives hope to the one who wants "another chance" at life. We are given one life to live, make the most of it !
