why do they the living God is dead when in reality he lives and breaths and eats, and reigns on heaven and earth. Just because his throne is in heaven and he is in heaven doesnt mean he's dead.

God is a person who is the most high almighty creator of the universe and eternal. He is made of a great soul, a great spirit, and spirit flesh. And he is so good that light comes to him.

also since people keep talking about God eating yes he eats but he doesnt need to eat "to live" i think he eats for pleasure y'all. Angels eat too and they are good at cooking i hear. God is a person and sits on a throne, especially since he will judge people if they knew his son or not. The God head has three persons: God(the father, ruler and creator to be praised and worshipped), Jesus Christ( the son who is the way to God and died and was resurrected to defeat death so man can be redeemed and have his sins washed with his blood and repent to be made perfect and follow God), and the Holy Spirit

People think God is dead and nil to existence. All these beautiful things you've said are imaginations. What you believe based on many reasons other than the fact that it is so. Have you gone to heaven? Have you witnessed all these things, or do they just make sense to you? Mankind has the ability to overcome and become a great species. Mankind is the only God you will ever know. You shall never agree with that. These words will most certainly fall on deaf ears. Yet, it is the only reality we may reckon with. How do you know that this thing "in reality... lives and breathes and eats"? Besides, what is it exactly that God eats? What is it that he breathes. Man lives, eats, and breathes. I think you've said many of the things that define the almighty hominid. Heaven is a place that can be on earth. Nirvana, Utopia. They may not seem like reasonable attainments, but that ideal is certainly more reasonable than an invisible heaven in some alternate universe. When one opens one's eyes, one realizes that one prays merely unto himself. Disagree, but that is the answer to why people think God is dead. If you're looking for confirmation and praying unto man to agree with you, then you shall choose another answer for best answer. As that will sate your tenuous belief in God so as to jog out of the void within. Unfortunately that void will remain, for God is dead. It is by the will of man that we shall attain enlightenment. It is by oneself that oneself will be made whole. You decide, just as you decide your beliefs. All that you believe and decide, is all that you believe and decide. God is dead. Man reigns.

That's a phrase first used by Friedrich Nietsczhe, who was a very famous philosopher, very intelligent, and an atheist. Think a smarter, less funny version of Oscar Wilde, without the homosexuality. People often end up not believing in God because of all the conflict people have caused in the name of religion, and they prefer the more based in reality Science. Blame some religious zealots for the loss of faith. As well, it's a matter of faith, if everyone believed, what would be the point of faith, and how would your faith be tested?

What? God eats?? I never knew god had to eat?

I thought your living god was all powerful.. Why would he need to eat? And what would a diety eat anyway?

Jeezus.. Breathes? Wow.. So, if he had to travel through space, would he need a space suit? I mean, since space is a vacuum and no air resides in space, he wouldn't be able to breath, right?

So, would your god die without food, drink and air?

OMG, chalk you up to another ignorant follower.

Oh, to answer your question - god was never alive to be dead. He is a fabrication for the scared and confused.

People think of God as dead because their life is symbolically dead having no live connection to the Creator.

People think he's dead or simply doesn't exist because they (1) don't believe in God, (2) can't understand why HE would allow all the pain and suffering and wars and injustices, or (3) could take a young child or loved one "before his time". And You're aabsolutely right--just because we can't see him, doesn't mean he isn't alive. But he is!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!

Hi. He (She for some),is not dead and He will not be. But I can't say he eats. People think He's dead co'z these people has no faith and no knowledge of the Bible and it's contents. And one more thing, these people may Know the word GOD but only when they want to wish for favorable things to happen for them. And if these people don't get what they want, they say God is dead. (..or there's no God)

For some, it is easier to live with their sinfulness if they choose to believe that God doesn't exist.

I don't understand how you can live your life not believing in God -- because I see His handiwork in everything around me. I see Him working in my life daily!

I'm not sure if I agree with your theology when you say that God eats. I'm not sure the Bible addresses that one way or another.
