How does a Cross standing on the side of a hill, or a stone monument of the ten commandments in front of a court house or the simple prayer of a person who believes force anyones opinion down your throat?
I mean I see billboards that support Athiest views all the time and My children are taught things that I feel are wrong and have not been proven and Hear people cursing and talking about things all the time that I disagree with nor want to hear. so how does it differ? please explain because I am lost on the point.
I think if you were all honest then you would say that you just want to do away with any religion period. You manipulate the laws that were designed to allow me to worship to your side.
Am I wrong?

Please go to the link. Read the answers. Look at the utter lack of consistency...

"Holy spirit that lives inside one Christian can communicate with another Christian's holy spirit. You will know who is Christian and who isn't. Listen to your heart."

"True Christians will show you love no matter what the sin is."

"Doesnt smoke, doesnt practice anything detestable to God (fornication, uncleannes, loose conduct, spiritism, pride, idolatry, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these), Loves his brother, preaches the good news, doesn't use blood transfusions, prays fervently, and ALOT more."

"someone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior."

So, is the answer really this - The way to tell a true Christian is however I feel is right or however *my* pastor told me I could tell?

Seriously if the world is supposed to be only 8000 years old tops what took God so long to whip us up? Was he just floating around in nothingness thinking, "Golly gee I'm bored. It's awfully dark here...Let there be light. Ahhhh. that's good. Wow there is really nothing here. Lets fix that." And where was God before he created Heaven? Why did he create the world? Why didn't he do it sooner? It stands to reason that if God has been around forever the heavens and earth should have been around for a long time. Unless of course God made other worlds that didn't turn out so well. Maybe we're just Earth 2.0. But my main question still stands as why didn't He make the world sooner? The rest was me ranting. Hope you had as much fun reading this as I had dun typing this. Customer service is very important to us so if you have any questions or suggestions keep them to yourself.

I'm thinking about becoming Buddhist, and I have a few questions about it. I know I will not become a full blown Buddhist, I just want to believe what they believe, meditate, and have an excuse to practice Tantra.

1. Do you have to agree with every one of their beliefs? I don't think I will be able to free myself from all desires. I still desire a certain career, a better bass guitar, my dream home on the coast of Maine, etc.

2. Do you have to be vegetarian? I know they believe in not harming animals, but does this also go for food? I like chicken and ham too much. (I know, this sounds bad, seeing as I should not be attached to food if I want to become Buddhist.)

3. How many different forms of meditation are there?

4. They don't believe in complete celibacy, right? You're not supposed to desire sex, but I don't think they believe it's wrong.

5. Has Buddhism helped you in your daily lives?

Why? Why do people not use the Found similar questions option?

Like killing jews, chistians and other non-muslims, how to blow up the WTC, giving theives the chop, marrying as many women as you want (and still having more when you die)? Surely there are many valuable lessons to learn (like those mentioned above and more).

then wanna talk about us when we date outside our race. I think all shades of Black are Beautiful. Why do people still get caught up in the light skin, "good" hair, and European features.? Not to say that some light skinned people aren't pretty but, why does lightness equate beauty in the Black culture? Please be serious when answering this question.

I have a friend whose wife cheated on him (made out with other guys, since being married to him)... They've been separated for over two years, because of this...

...The thing is -while she admits to 'fooling around' and 'making out' with other guys- she refuses to admit that she 'went all the way' and had intercourse...

He's very spiritual (Jehovah's Witness, to be exact), and so he is remaining married to this woman, since he doesn't have proof that she committed adultery, and he doesn't want to break his vows by divorcing her without the proper spiritual grounds...

...So, my question is, does he already have enough proof; given that she admitted to doing other things with dudes since they've been married?

...If possible, answers from actual Jehovah's Witnesses would be best, since that is the specific religion this is all dealing with, and it's what he will listen to most...

Thanks for any help given; I appreciate it! ...Help me free this guy!

A friend recently came out and announced his gayness to me and my friends. This has caused quite a controversy among all of us. Are people born gay or does something in life make them that way?
