This was written ten years ago, published in a book called The Vatican Billions by A. Manhattan: "The Vatican's treasure of solid gold has been estimated by the United Nations World Magazine to amount to several billion dollars. A large bulk of this is stored in gold ingots with the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank, while banks in England and Switzerland hold the rest. But this is just a small portion of the wealth of the Vatican, which in the U.S. alone, is greater than that of the five wealthiest giant corporations of the country. When to that is added all the real estate, property, stocks and shares abroad, then the staggering accumulation of the wealth of the Catholic church becomes so formidable as to defy any rational assessment. The Bible says this about money: "Matt 6:24: No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Money." HYPOCRISY? How do you ignore this?

Is this the work of God or Allah to punish the muslims for the violence and terrorism in the world? Will there be more natural disasters in this area of the world to punish the muslims? Also, if Allah exists, why has he/she not protected the muslims from death? Especially in the last Tsunami (the big one) where thousands of muslims died.

Especially verses 10-12, Why do you pass judgment on your brother or sister? Or you, why do you despise your brother or sister? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written:" As I live, says the lord, every knee shall bow tome, and every tongue shall give praise to God." So then, each of us will be accountable to God.

Me and my girlfriend are visiting New York in a couple of weeks for just one night, and we were wondering what were some good clubs or places to chill at for lesbians. We really could use some advice because we are trying to have some fun.

On August 15 would you pledge to commit random acts of kindness? I ask nothing extraordinary. I would like to see people giving up a seat on a train for someone who needs it more than they, open a door, carry a package, anything.

Coming from British Columbia, I am used to consideration and politeness. I find most Albertans are the friendliest, most upbeat, helpful people. I do not understand why, as you head towards the East, people become extremely self-centred, obnoxious and ostentatious. They seem so class-oriented and snobbish, flashing money around. I make an exception to French Canadians, who are mostly not like this.

Over the years, I have dealt with many nationalities: South African, Chilean, Mexican, Japanese, East Indian, Chinese, German, British, Swiss, French, Italian, American, etc.. and I do not find any of them to be particularly rude. Americans are actually very very polite and mostly sweet-natured; they are simply more direct about what they want and make up their minds faster and more strongly, which is fine.

Islamic terrorism is inspired by Islamic teachings. We can never get rid of Islamic terrorism unless we defeat the ideology behind it and that is Islam itself. Islam induces hate backed by lies. Muhammad was a terrorist by his own admission. All Muslims, to the extent that they follow him, are terrorists. Those Muslims who are not terrorists are ignorant of Islam and are not good Muslims. Fortunately they are the majority. We need to rescue them. If you are a good human being, you are not a Muslim. Read this site and if you can't prove me wrong, which you certainly can't, leave this deceitful cult of hate and terror and join mankind. Don't be part of the Umma. Umma is fascism. It is divisive. It induces the hatred of others. Be part of humanity instead. Your ignorance is not an excuse. Pull your head out of the sand and face the truth, like we did.

why does every Christian have to pay the price of those that call themselves Christian? Like the priest who molest children, and the Baptist that judge everyone that comes up to them. Or the Christians that try to scare you into Heaven?
Those people aren't right with God, if they were then they would know it says in the Bible not to do those things.
It seems that non- believers always use those scenarios when talking about Christians.
Not all Christians are like that. There are a lot of Christians that are normal, God loving, church going people that just want to help others understand, and not condemn them or scare them into anything. And we sure don't molest children.

After all, if it is scientifically impossibly to dis-prove the unprovable (which it is), then it takes just as much faith to deny a god as it does to believe. If the basic definition of a religion is to believe in an entity that is unprovable (the essence of faith), then the absolute disregard of any chance of a higher power is indeed a religion. The Atheist worships science.

What do you think?

FIRST! This question is not to "rag" on those who believe in god. This question is not designed to call faith into question.

I've seen postings on Answers, one recent, describing someone living in an abusive situation and is asking for "Christian advice". Other questions have been asked for prayers to ask how to get out of an unsafe or dangerous situation - through God. What is going through these minds? Why are they not calling the police, seeking medical attentions, seeking psychological help?

If you believe in God, doesn't your god also want you to fend for yourself or use your brain to one degree or another? If someone is afraid of being abused, tortured, or possibly killed - why is it a matter for God and not the police?

Has God become such a HUGE crutch that some have become totally helpless? If you have a broken leg, why would you not go to a doctor? If you are being physically, mentally, and psychologically abused, why would you not go to a shelter???

I don't understand.

"Tribalism, as a mentality, can and has taken many forms. Since tribalism involves categorizing oneself into a group, it also entails the categorization of others into other groups, often leading to prejudice and, in extreme cases, even genocide. The presence and difference of other groups aids in creating identities. Sometimes, as in the case of street gangs, differences are artificially created specifically for this purpose." - Wikipedia

I consider that Judaism and Islam are the two most prevalent (and most primative) tribal religions. They both preach animosity toward "infidels" or gentiles, and foster belief in themselves as "chosen." No wonder there is no peace in the Middle East.

Most blacks have slave mentalities. It's an inferior mind set that trickles down from one generation to the next

It's a negative self image that's destroying the black race

You act how you believe you are

BLACKS DONT KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THE MENTAL AFFECTS OF SLAVERY

WE NEED TO LEARN AND DWELL ON SLAVERY TO RID THE SLAVE MENTALITY

Please be kind enough to show the simplified levels of evolution or should I say "Evolution of earth".

something like: when you explain the manufacture process of a fizzy drink:

1.Carbonated water come from water
2.Water come from Hydrogen and Oxygen...
3.Hydrogen comes from whatever and Oxygen comes from(hypothetically speaking)
4.... until you reach the last material.

Can you do it with earth incuding animals, trees and man until you reach the last ORIGINAL material
