why does every Christian have to pay the price of those that call themselves Christian? Like the priest who molest children, and the Baptist that judge everyone that comes up to them. Or the Christians that try to scare you into Heaven?
Those people aren't right with God, if they were then they would know it says in the Bible not to do those things.
It seems that non- believers always use those scenarios when talking about Christians.
Not all Christians are like that. There are a lot of Christians that are normal, God loving, church going people that just want to help others understand, and not condemn them or scare them into anything. And we sure don't molest children.

Friend, we aren't playing with "Home" advantage. We are on the "devil's playground", therefor rules get 'twisted'...Unbelievers can make those statements & be considered acceptable. (And then, therefor all Christians get "tarred" with the same stereotype.)

Meanwhile you're absolutely right in what you are saying. Perserverance is the key...Perserverance with prayer, and perserverance in living your life exactly like you described. Your actions speak louder than your words. Remember that.

God Bless.

I quite agree. Of course what the media pick up on - and the critics of Christ - are the 'juicy' bits. All Christians are human and believing in what Jesus preached doesn't make them anything else. Professed Christians lay themselves open to criticism because of what they profess - not because they are better or worse than their brothers and sisters who don't acknowledge the Christ.

I completely agree that the priests who molest children are not right with God. That, after all is what sin and sanctity is about - being right with God.

Christians do not pay the price for others. Christians do not scare people into heaven. They speek the truth which is the word of God. The truth convicts the non believers heart, and that is what scares them.

Christians who obey God and share His word are right with God. They are obey Him and He will bless them. The bible does not tell Christians not to share the word of God.

Christians who share the word of God with others are not judging them or condemming them, It is the word of God that is placing conviction on the heart of the non believer. The non believer knows what they do is not right in the eyes of the Lord. But the bible does say that us Chrsitians will be persecuted for Jesus name sake. And that is what you are doing right now, just because you dont' understand the word of God.

IF you think that Chrsitians are just to Love God and attend Church and not share the word of God with others, then you dont' know what A Chrsitian trully is. It is not the Christian that places judgement on the non beliver, but the wore of God that makes the non believer see

For the non beliver it is far easier to place the blame on the Messagner of the word of God which is the Chrsitian, instead of taking responsibility for their sins and repent of them and do what Jesus wants from them and accept Him as their savior.

You know, the same thing happens to black people, brown people, and homosexuals all the time. If you're black or brown, you have to pay the price of those who live the thug life, or abuse the welfare system, or don't want to learn English. We pay the price in watermellon and stolen bike jokes, and lower expectations of and hopes for us in life because it's percieved that the darker you are, the less inherently intelligent you are. If you're homosexual, you have to pay the price of the insistent homosexuals who don't know when to take a straight person's "NO!" for an answer, or the relatively rare pedophiles in the homosexual population. They pay the price in being branded Hellbound pariahs, being brutally victimized at times (Matthew Sheppard, for example, who was beaten and dragged behind a car and then tied to a rural fencepost, left there to die), being shut out of jobs, parenthood, and marraige because of their genetically predetermined sexuality.

Hey, Carol M, I've been handed enough pamphlets by ten year old children at Sword of the Lord conventions ("Here, this'll change your life!") to paper an entire room in my house. The message of every single one of those pamphlets is intended to scare any non-Christian into believing in Jesus. And from my own longtime personal experience, CHRISTIANS DO JUDGE. So many of you (sounds like you are included in that number) feel that you are the mouthpieces of God and therefore have to right to tell other people what God thinks of them, wants of them, says they should not do. And obviously you get offended when another of your faith has some kind of opinion that paints your religion in less than a perfect light.
The truth is that the "Truth" is so much simpler, and "God" so much more complicated, than any religion can portray. The "Truth" is that all perception of God on this planet is human-driven, and your God is really made in man's image instead of the reverse. You may think I'm just hiding from your version of the truth, but no, I've been a Christian... found it as a spiritual path lacking in so many aspects, found its version of "sin" ridiculous (rock music, for example? Come on!), found its version of God very limiting indeed (if God is all-knowing, all-seeing, and all-being, why would it take the form af a human male?), and have met way too many people who are smug in "being not perfect but forgiven"--like my mom, though I love her with a fierce passion.
Not my cup of tea. I'd rather strive to treat every being I come across in life fairly and equitably, and take personal responsibility for my actions without a rigid dogma guiding me. I'd rather accept the consequences of my choices and work to make my life better than hand those choices over to some bearded man I've never met.

It wasn't always like that. Proselytizing as a responsibility of all believers is a rather recent development. Recognizing that Christianity is a criminal business enterprise (the worlds most successful and longest running MLM scam), they used to be powerful enough that they would just torture and kill anyone who didn't agree with them. However, with the dawning of the 'Age of Enlightenment', as secular ethics began to take over, Christianity began to lose the political power that had allowed them to enforce ignorance and brutally suppress all opposition. In other words, their marketing plan sort of fell apart. Over the next few centuries, they came up with a new marketing plan, in which came up with the idea of being 'reborn', and convincing all the mindless dupes... eh... excuse me... that was bad... I mean 'believers'.. that it was their religious duty to go out and testify, and tell everybody the 'good news'. So, now, instead of just killing non-believers outright, they are instructed to pester them to death with obnoxious behavior.

first of all most of catholics are not christians, even baptist and most so called christians.. because they don't believe in God's salvation... they are wha t the Bible called nominal christian christian by name.. assuming to be christian but are not..

secondly.. eventhough a person is a genuine christian he is still human that can commit sin... but as time goes by if he continues in the lord and grow spiritually he will sin less and be more holy... being a christian is not knowing God and following God..

a christian is one who grows in the life of God and becoming like God in life and nature... visit lifestudy.com

Because it is hatred. The Christians you referred to in your first paragraph, they are not right with God,dess; they think they are and care not enough to endure the suffering that being truly connected to God,dess entails. It is a daily mindfulness, the path of the true Christian. I am Wiccan and I accept all faiths as valid and powerful paths to commune with the Divine Creator. Wicca is also a daily mindfulness, that we are surrounded by the divine and should treat it that way, to be good stewards of this Mother Earth who bears us upon her breast. To not berate others for what they believe, (or disbelieve,) because in each and everyone of us is a small sliver of divine. (Love thy neighbor) (Blessed is he, who in the name of Charity and Good Will, shepherds the weak through the Valley of Darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost Children.) I think a lot of non-believers (Atheists) refer to these scenarios because they are see more clearly the hypocrisy held therein. I think a lot of pagans refer to these scenarios because we too see the hypocrisy. I am gladdened to know that you see these hypocrites for what they are- not right with God,dess. I am gladdened to know that you are part of the solution, and not the problem. Help those who come to you for understanding; I am sure you can find the right words to get them started. As for me, I shall do the same. Let's pray for peace on this planet. Blessed Be.

Faith is a difficult thing. And it requires sacrifice, sometimes of our selves, and always of our pride. Think of what America was founded on. The right to freedom of religion, to pursue happiness, to life, to liberty. Think of what our forefathers sacrificed for their faith, they left their homes and the comfort of familiarity, to sail to an unknown world, to face unknown dangers therein. As Christians, we must accept the fact that not everyone who calls themselves a Christian actually are. Like all faiths, there are good and bad. FYI..I was raised by my Baptist mother and Native American father. My mother taught me not to judge others, as did my father. I was allowed the privelage of finding my own spiritual path. And I truly believe it matters not what path we choose, only that we set out on the journey.

i agree with you totally, but society usually likes to generalize and condemn. the Muslims are facing the same generalization right now with the terrorists. not all muslims are that way. it is not right, but there are too many air heads in this world to make a change for the better.
