I have so much trouble getting up in the morning when I know I have to go to work. Is it psychological? I don't have this problem on the weekend though.

I just want to add that my job is great. Any job that I had, I just have a hard time getting up for it!

I feel you! It's all in the mind; kind of like when it's the night before an exiting event like the first day of school or a trip and you have a hard time falling asleep. When you go to bed dreading (consciously or subconsciously) going to work, when you wake up you'll drag. What helps me is ensuring I get to sleep at a decent hour and then doing something I enjoy early in the morning so that it's not as bad. Even something as simple as listening to music or as elaborate as a half-hour jog is help. The point is, change your thinking about getting up during the week by starting out every day doing something you enjoy. It might take a while to get used to this, but you'll eventually get the routine down. And if you're desperate, quit your job!

I have the same problem, only mine goes one step further. If I have to pull a double, or if I'm working 3rd and then 2nd shift the next day with only 8 hours off in between, I can't sleep at all for worry that I won't get up in time ( and yes, I have an alarm clock). Murphy's Law or something. (man, if I could get my hands on this Murphy guy..)

How much do you like your job? I never have a problem getting up when I like my work. Drag through the morning when I don't. A lot of people are this way.

It's either one of two things: Either you hate your job or you are really drunk on the weekends, alchohol decreases the amount of sleep you get. Either way I recommend you start drinking before you go to sleep at night so that you can wake up early and refreshed in the morning.
