On August 15 would you pledge to commit random acts of kindness? I ask nothing extraordinary. I would like to see people giving up a seat on a train for someone who needs it more than they, open a door, carry a package, anything.

absolutely. i don`t know if i have a kind of "helpful aura" but random people often seem to ask me for help. One example is an old lady couldn`t fix her broch to her cardigan, so asked me to do it for her, which i was happy to do. by the way, good point bored lawyer!

It seems to me that making a pledge and setting a date pretty much destroys the "random" part of your plan. You seem to have a kind motive, which is refreshing, but I'm not sure the plan makes sense in this form.

I think that's a great idea...although I think it shouldn't be just one day. I try to do something like that as much as possible. I'll pay for person who's behind me in the drive-through...I'll help people with whatever I can. I would like to see more random acts of kindness too!

I try very hard to do this on a daily basis, I do realize how very blessed that I am to have a healthy body and mind, so therefore I do it because it's the right thing to do, for nothing else.

I do it every day, but certainly will on 8/15. Thank you for your efforts, too.

No, because it won't do any good. Have you seen some of the hateful, hurtful, racist things people say on this thing. Don't waste your time.
