The Bible is not a science book...It is an EXCELLENT history book though...yet, The Bible explains our purpose while focusing on the future...while Science explains our reality by looking into the past> Both are fundamental to our being>right>

I believe 99% of all people are basicly good people. No matter what label they have; Christians, Atheists, Muslims, etc.

However, the R&S section seems to turn more and more into a "battle of the religions" (which i hate). I see lots of prejudiced questions asked by people, who are to me just bad representatives of Atheism, Christianity or Islam. I would not be happy if i had a label, and i had to defend my label based on others who claim to wear the same label.

I am an Agnostic, tending towards Atheism. I notice that sometimes i defend Atheists on questions that wrongly prejudice Atheism. Then i defend a label, instead of talking about my own beliefs. It makes me feel strange, somehow.

I was just wondering, in the "battle of the religions", do you defend your label mostly, or do you stick purely to your own beliefs?

To say that your standards are better than someone else's is too much like a religion, because that is based on opinion and philosophies, not on reality. Since without a god in an unthinking world, there is no objective judge to define what is "better", who are atheists trying to convince besides themselves?

After all, there are good Christians that suffer unbearable agony in life, and ***holes who make millions and have all the love and attention they need. There are also good Christians whose life is pretty peachy and the same ***holes who get what's coming to them. Seems to me it's a crap shoot.

They try to play both sides of the fence when it comes to the immigration issue. They claim that they are no different from the European immigrants that came here in the late 1800's and early 1900's, yet unlike the European immigrants, they do not want to assimilate. The European immigrants learned English and became Americans. The Mexican immigrants, on the contrary do not learn English, and in turn have children that are taught Spanish at home. It makes me absolutely sick. Living in L.A. I see this all of the time. I'm not saying that they are bad people - many of them that I know are very nice - but this is highly irresponsible and detrimental to our country's future.

Especially when someone is obviously in pain or asking something about a troubled, disabled child? What is wrong with people?? How can they be so cold and rude as to say really ugly things to a rape victim???

If you are one of those who feels you must say something mean, rude, or ugly, please DON'T! If you have no heart, please go elsewhere.

I met one and didn't like him very much. He was very rude and pushy. So, I wanted to know if it was just him or if German people are like that in general.

Why are constitutions written down under the blessings of 'Almighty God' and yet governments break most religious laws? They kill, imprison, deceive, and fail to uphold equality.
