I truly honestly believe that all people are created equal. Race, religion, origin, nationality, language, color, age, health, etc. should not make a difference in regards to respecting other people. I understand that people with disabillities need special care, and people who speak different languages than me need a translator (or something along those lines), and people who are from another country will have different customs and traditions than me. So why is it so hard for the rest of the world to realize this? am I alone on this point? Why treat people as inferior? Why treat others with less respect?

on t.v shows, commercials,even cartoons blacks are always made out to uneducated everytime I see a commercial with a black person the are always speaking slang, or just being ghetto. Is t.v giving a bad impressinn on us?

I always attach a slightly different meaning to every synonym of a word in English, and I can't see that this would be different in any other language. So, is it the same in Spanish that every word has a slightly different meaning?

I ask because I recently asked a question on the Spanish Yahoo! Answers about the different connotations of various words (I asked specifically about lindo/a, bello/a, guapo/a, hermoso/a, etc). Almost every response just said that they were just synonyms, but I already knew that. (I think part of the problem was that I'm sure it was very easy to tell that I'm a non-native speaker, so maybe they just thought I was asking about what these words meant.)

I've asked Spanish speakers before to correct me on when to use certain synonyms (like, which is more appropriate here, "chistoso" or "gracioso"?), and they usually just tell me that they are synonyms and leave it at that.

Am I not being clear enough with such questions, or is there really no difference?

I am sick and tired of people constantly bringing race into arguments that have nothing to do with it. Have people ever stopped to think that maybe someone dislikes them because of who they are, and not because they are black/white/red/yellow/tan/brown??? I recently had a young man try to get me fired because I wouldn't give him a refill on his drink. He claimed it was because he was black and I was being racist, but really it's because we don't offer free refills on the size of drink he bought. Why are people ridiculous like that?

Christians think that their religion is the only right one and that they need to help everyone by converting them. Many of them try to say that we're going to hell if we don't accept Jesus as their savior. Don't they know that it's just plain annoying? they seem very abnormal people. they are successful, hardworking, and sometimes, friendly.. they seem to enjoy everything that comes out such as Film, Media, technology, and everything new... but when it comes to the brain, ethics, manners, common sense, and the way of approaching things, it's really strange.... i believe they a system in which they're all control by a group of monkey's or such.
