Now the wall burst, how fast can you move, how fast did the water rise, If you go into the attic how will you get out? Don't get in a trap .

If you're white and fairly well off, it's easy you simply take a short vacation and come back when your job reopens. But for so many, I can't imagine having to start all over again with nothing. It must be truely heartbreaking, having lost photos and pets and not even having subsistance while waiting for the cleanup. .

I would do what I've always done in dire situations. I'd help myself. Now,...what I ' Wouldn't ' do is,...sit on the roof of my house for weeks yelling ' HELP '. I wouldn't rob Wal-Marts or liquor stores or other stranded people. I wouldn't shoot at rescue vehicles. I wouldn't claim FEMA money and blow it all on booze and strippers. But then, I wouldn't be caught dead in that cesspool called New Orleans either.

I would move and encourage the rest of my family to move with me so that I am not alone in a new town. I would look into moving to a city that doesn't have a high-crime rate also.

NOT RELY ON THE GOVERNMENT FOR MONEY OR HELP. THEY ARE TO BUSY STEALING THE MONEY FOR THEIR OWN BANK ACCOUNTS. AS SAD AS IT IS, PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES BECAUSE THE SAYING IS TRUE ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT HELPING THEIR OWN AND THE RICH GET RICHER AND THE POOR GET POORER.
