What scares you the most about the paranormal? What makes your heart pound enough and your head sweat to even think about, revolving around the paranormal...The way a ghost might look? Anything, I would like to know.

Keep in mind, evil spirits exsist whether you believe in them or not. If you don't believe they do, email me, I will list you countless ways to provoke one enough to let you know they do, I want to know what scares you, not whether you believe in them..

Well, I half agree with one of you, ghosts are real, as a Catholic, we believe that God allows visitations, for the good souls, and we interpret these as ghosts, now evil spirits and/or demons come to haunt us as well...

"Dark" magic does exist, as per the Bible when Moses was doing tricks with God's help, and he was copied by the Pharoah's magicians. So, any dark magic stuff does scare me.

I guess trying to fight something I cannot see. The idea that some malevolent spirit can just waltz into MY home, my sanctuary, and start terrorizing my family and there's not much I can do about it. That just sucks. EVP creeps me out too (but the movie White Noise was pretty corny). Some friends and I sat around recording our conversation one night (the wine was flowing and we wanted to have a record of all the philosophizing we did) and some interesting stuff turned up on the tape. Oogedy-boogedy eh!
On the flip side, this stuff is pretty rare and I think my chances of having a nasty ghosty move in with us are slim and none. So it scares me, but I don't dwell on it.

Nothing.
I had an experience where I thought my life was going to end. I was in bed and i saw this little gray cloud swirl and then a hand above me. Then it came down on my throat and I felt I was being strangled. The first thing I thought was "My family is going to find me here, dead in my bed", but I tried to speak and call on Jesus. At first I could not speak, couldn't get a sound out, but I kept trying and I couldn't breathe, then I barely whispered his name and it totally released. Immediately I felt God's protection and perfect peace and even after that experience I wasn't afraid at all. I actually felt like, "If that didn't kill me... if God saved me from THAT... I have nothing to be afraid of...
I've had one other paranormal experience, which I didn't realize it at the time... but it was not scary at all. I actually thought there was another person there, so I wasn't scared because I actually thought it was another person...no big deal. Turns out it was an angel. Possibly it could have been a demon acting as an angel, but in the end it glorified God and did not get it's way if that was the case.
The way I found out it was not actually a person was others told me there was no one there... no one had touched my hand to open it. It felt like a warm, elderly woman's hand opening my raised hand during worship (my eyes were closed). I really thought some woman had opened my hand but I kept my eyes totally closed through the whole song.
After the song I opened my eyes, looked at my husband and asked who had touched my hand.... he said no one. He had had his eyes open the whole time. I explained it to him and he said NO ONE had touched my hand. He was dead serious and looked at me like I was a freak. I didn't ask for the experience, I just got it.

Before I became a Christian, I used to fear the Devil and his demons. I lived with a woman who considered herself to be a "white witch" and some scary things went on in our house. We had a plague of gnats and one morning after she had been up all night casting spells, when we came out of the bedroom this big glop of horrible smelling green goo fell from the ceiling and landed on her hair. Once when I was asleep she performed a "cleansing spell" on a tooth that was hurting me and I didn't know about it until the next morning when I told her that my tooth had stopped hurting and when I looked at the cavity that was causing the pain in the mirror I thought I could see something silver in color in it. There were many other strange and unaccountable occurences that happened in that period of my life.
I thank God that He preserved my life during that time and called me into his family, the family of Christ Jesus! Now I have no fear because by the blood of Christ I have victory over the evil one and his minions! May the name of Jesus be praised forever, Amen!
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

I would say not knowing exactly what paranormal really is. Do we really know what a ghost is? I tell ya walking in my back yard at night and hearing something rumble in the leaves gets my heart going and my feet a moving...so really the not knowing part, or the "what if" part..

Nothing about the paranormal scares me. Actual living people are much scarier and much more able to cause real harm than those who have passed beyond. It's the real people on this earth that scare me, not the one on the other side.

I dont fear the paranormal.
However I do not play with the paranormal (because there are real spirit beings out there who can deceive us and destroy us mentally if we open ourselves up to them).
To play with the paranormal/ occult is to disobey the Christian God (for the reason mentioned above).
Cordially,
John

For one, I don't believe in ghosts. I believe in Angels and Demons.
And like one said, I fear disobaying God. "Do not fear man for who destory the body, but fear God who can destory the spirit AND the body."
