Why do people want to deny Evolution, why does religous faith and delusion seem more important than Science and knowledge?

I have a bit of faith left but it's hard can God really give anything to the modern world or is it just tall tales to keep us from missbehaving as kids?

I have only been on this site for 2 weeks now but I see a pattern with their selected headline questions. Last week it was Al Gore, this week Bono. I think I smell an agenda.

When I was living in Pittsburgh 8 years ago, a weird religious program appeared on a public access chanel about Yahweh Ben Yahweh. In Hebrew it translates to "God of Gods." But apparently the man billed as Yahweh Ben Yahweh was "wrongfully" thrown in prison for being a cocaine or crack dealer. Heck, they even had a little segment for the kids with illustration cards showing his persecution. The cards looked like the drawings made by Homey the Clown in "In Living Color" when he was booted by The Man when he was a valet at Chez Whities'. Fortunantly, I had a tape handy to record this show and brought it home with me to show all my friends this bizzare religion I stumbled upon. Any thoughts?

Nothing can "just exist" without having an origin, that applies to the universe as well. Lie-beral professors tell people that the universe has "always existed" but they ignore all the evidence that points to a divine creator. Nothing can just "always exist" except for God Himself, God has always existed, but not the universe. God is exempt from the normal requirement of a creator, but life and the universe are not.

Supporters of the Intelligent Design Theory have been ridiculed with offensive nicknames like "IDiot" which is a play on the abbreviation of Intelligent Design, "ID". Well, I'm here to say that I'm proud to be an IDiot! Yahweh is a supporter of the Intelligent Design Theory, so I guess that makes Him an "IDiot" too? I've got a t-shirt that says "Proud to be an IDiot" on it, and I wear it proudly.

The theory of evil-ution will destroy all those who come into contact with it. If you are approached by this theory, just walk away, don't attempt to argue or debate.

Do you have any real personal stories about any of these? I am tired of crackpots on t.v. trying to get attention and countless blurry video and photos are a joke.

I played with a Ouija board in H.S. a couple of times, and that thing really does move on it's own and answer yes or no questions. The 3rd and 4th guy would leave the room and pick a number, the Ouija board got it right 5 out of 7 times. Those were quite disturbing episodes.

A buddy of mine said he saw his dead grandmother in his room once.

Anybody?

It seems as though one of the formulas to a successful game/movie/anime/etc is anthromorphic animals or other anthromorphic...things. Take these for an example:
Pokemon (I guess the most anthromorphic pokemon is Lucario)
Digimon (Uh...haven't seen it in 5 years)
Transformers (who doesn't like robots?)
Sly Cooper (it has a raccoon who's a theif in it. 'Nuff said)
Sonic the Hedgehog (new game for ps3 looing good so far...)
Toy Story (crossin' ma fingers for Toy Story 3)

All of them has things that act like humans whom are NOT humans. Just what about them makes us adore and love them so much?
