Does anyone else really like to see women breast feeding in public? I think it is disgusting. i think the next time I see one, im going to go sit by her and expose half of my breast.

I dont walk around showing stuff off because these same women would be offended, so why not show those of us who dont appreciate that the same courtesy?

And why in the world would you want to give perverts a show? and yes, you know they are out there!!!!

That is, have you professed belief in something because you liked the idea rather than because you thought it's really how the world is?

Example--I like the idea of reincarnation. I even have watched for hawks since my boyfriend said he thinks his father was reincarnated as a hawk--it's a romantic idea I guess. But it seems much more likely to me that anything that I call 'me' will cease to exist when I die.

Another example--Some people oppose teaching evolution because they are worried what kids will do if they learn they evolved from monkeys? Nevermind it's scientifically proven or not, if kids find out they are animals they will act like animals. (Like they don't anyway? lol)

Years ago I was taken to a house w/ friends. When we went down into the game room, before I got completely down the stairs, the strangest feeling that I had been there before came over me. I stopped on the stairs and began to tell my friend how the room was set up. When we got down there, I was correct. It is the only time it has ever happened.

Only God is holy, calling another mortal, human being by that title is blasphemy. Kissing the ring in his finger or any other similar defference should be offensive to God in accord with God´s laws that prohibit such idolatry. What do you think?

I have a serious question that has confused and upset me for a long time. I know there are good and bad people in the world of every religion. However...from what I understand, have read and have heard christians are supposed to be about love and forgivness. After all...according to their beliefs Jesus died on the cross so they could be forgiven for their sins. So why is it so many christians are filled with hate for people who have different beliefs? How can they condemn other religions, homosexuals etc etc etc? My parents are christian and that's the type of household I was brought up in. That is what I was taught to believe at an early age. But I see how they...and many, many others...act when faced with someone who doesn't see things their way or share their beliefs. I just don't understand.

Thank you for everybody who answered my question. Most of them were respectful. But I think I didn't make myself clear.
After reading lots of questions about racism, I've seen a lot of replies about slavery. I asked why.
Here's what I meant: Let's get it straight - most of black people have decent lives, jobs, degrees, good families, good friends, etc. But for those who don't; why do you say it is due to slavery that happened many many decades ago? A lot of black people made it in life even if they had a grand or great grand parent who was a slave...Of course I don't want you guys to forget about your history, this would be ashamed. But why do you give slavery as an excuse when your life is hard? Many other races have a hard time too today, even whites. Sorry, just trying to understand.

The second coming of Jesus was imacculately conceived in a 15 year old virgin from Jersey (not many to pick from).

Her parents didn't believe she was a virgin and made her get an abortion.

I know this is true, I saw it in a grilled cheese sandwich.

Why won't you accept the (near) second coming of your saviour?

It seems everyone these days wants to be called some name that identifies their race. Blacks wanted to called African AMericans, Hispanics Latinos and Chinese want to be called Asians. It is strange though that people from India and Iran are not called Asians when they too are from the continent.

However whites are still called white. I have no problem with that because I am proud of my race but isn't it time to call the white race European Americans? Our ancestors came from Europe.

Ok, the question is this....If a black man is in a country mainly with white people and he sees a black man and nods his head....What is that? I'm just asking cause I had a friend who would say hello and greet them, etc. I just put myself in his situation, if I was in Kenya and I would see a white person pass by.....It really wouldn't make a difference to me...Could it be a bit racist?

It seems quite a few people are so entrenched in their belief system's dogma that they are unwilling to have an open discourse on any topic that refutes their beliefs.

Often, I see moderate answers that try to remain unbiased and address all sides of the issue be tossed out by question askers who had pre-decided what answer they would select. They select the post that agrees with them, rather than one that agrees with them but also leaves room for other possible answers.

I don't see the point. Why would they bother asking, if they already know there is only one answer they would consider? There is no intellectual, emotional or spiritual growth that could come from this, it seems an exercise in self-satisfaction.
