Why would you want to go back to being brainwashed by some fictional character? You've seen the light, and you're now happy, why not stay that way?

Catholic and Lutheran religions are both based on Christianity. However, like all religions, there are rules implied and condemnation that is inflicted upon you by other impoerfect human beings when those rules are broken.

It is not all that uncommon as these (as well as Islam, Hinduism, ) are based on a system of following a path set up by rules and regulations that are impossible to maintain. Do these religions ever ease the burden of the poor or help people out who are in need?

The true aspect of Christianity is that it puts you in touch with the loving creator of the universe so you can fellowship with Him.

so in a respect, Christianity is based on a relationship while other religions are based on rules.

Because he is the Creator of all things, your Body and Mind are wonderfully made, even Doctors don't know EXACTLY everything about them (they're still studying) But God Created them. You can not possibly be the work of some Alien/Science fiction junk.

The fact that the sun & moon rise and set daily are due to a promise from God. Jeremiah 31:35 - Says: Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name.

God loves you more than you can ever even love yourself, he formed you in your mothers womb. He knows every hair on your head and has watched your every move since birth, your falling away and other events in your life have been no shock to him (only perhaps to you). He loves you and is always waiting for your fellowship. The only reason that you do not Fully realize your love for him, is because you haven't yet made the decision to set forth and get to KNOW HIM. Because to know him IS TO LOVE HIM!

So take some time, and talk to him as you would any other friend remember that he is always listening and he REALLY wants you to get to know him for yourself. He created you for himself and it is his pleasure to prosper you.

So try him!

Christianity is the adherence to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Labeling it with a title of Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Jehovah Witness or Mormon is a distinction in doctrine. (How one interprets the truth) If you have let outside forces determine your personal doctrin to the point of denunciation of the basic Christian faith through their interpretation of the truth, then you haven't done your homework.
This definition by Trahnel may help clarify a point for you: "Religion is mans feeble attempt to reach God by his own power and strength." Also, "Christianity is reaching God through the free gift of salvation to all who ask and believe." At this point I would add the first sentence I opened with.

Don't get the two confused. Many people do. But a research of the actual teachings of Jesus Christ will reveal that Jesus was against the status quo (religion) and for the truth.

The ball is in your court, are you going to play the game or walk away a looser?

No offense intended, but with that background, you may have never witnessed Christianity.
Most conservative Christian Apologist refer to Catholicism as a pseudo-christian cult, and the Lutheran church extremely liberal at best. You may have actually denounced something false. How would you know what Christianity is? I would look into that if I were you.

This site is dedicated to
every seeker of truth.
Our hope is to assist you in your quest.

Together we will explore the beliefs of the eleven main living religions,
as well as numerous other religions, sects and teachers.

As we examine these worldviews, we will
discover both amazing similarities and evident contradictions.
We may not always agree on final conclusions,
but we can all agree on initial questions—the questions that echo
within the heart of collective humanity:

"Who am I?"—"How did I get here?"—"Why am I here?"—"Where am I going?"

These oft-spoken words bind us together—regardless of race, culture or religion—
for there is a common cry within the hearts of all men.

Before we even discover the answers, just asking the questions connects us, not only with each other, but with the real meaning of life. Yes, it is true—

"Religion is the first thing and the last thing, and until a
man has found God, and been found by God, he begins at no
beginning and works to no end."
—H. G. Wells

So true spirituality is the alpha and omega of earthly existence, because—

"He who has no vision of eternity has no hold on time."
—Thomas Carlyle

TheTrueLight.Net is all about this very thing—sharing with thirsty pilgrims
a "vision of eternity," that will enable them to have a
"hold on time"—an ability to 'grip' life with deep love,
abiding peace, strong confidence and passionate purpose.

Does this sound appealing? If so, you may want to continue.

The breath of inspiration awaits you.

The Christian God is the Father God, Lord Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit. Salvation comes from confession & heart faith in the True God (Found in the bible).

Confession one is a sinner needing a Savior. Confessing Jesus Christ Lord of ones life (life commitment). Believing in heart He died on cross for ones sins & rose from the dead for ones justification. Then one is saved by grace, through faith.

God loves you. That is why you should seek Him. It is God's will that none should perish and All should have everlasting life. And rejecting God's free gift of salvation could mean hell.

God so loved the world (Those not yet reconciled to Him.) that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish and will have ever lasting life.

In every true Christian church there is the Salvation by grace through faith foundation. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, said that on this Rock He builds His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail.

The devil does plant seeds in usually every church. They are the tares. The bad seed are false doctrines. slanders, false accusations, etc. The good seed is the true Word of God and is found in the bible. Also, seeds are planted by speaking the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing a Word about Christ. Bad seeds are planted by slandering, lieing, etc.

There are more tares in some christian churches than in others. The best thing to do is pray to God for a faith based Christian church where the good seed is being preached. (God's Truth exposes the lies of the enemy (Satan) and He runs.) That is where God want you. A church that believes in the Word of God. He loves you.

Forget what the preachers and televangelists say ... listen to what Jesus taught.

We're only on Earth for a brief time; the best we can do is care for each other, help each other when we're down, and try to make the world better. We are all part of God's creation, whatever particular nation we're from, whatever particular religion we follow, whatever shape or color we are.

We spend so much time and effort wondering which of us is better than the other ... in God's eyes, we are all equally small, equally great, and equally loved.

Keep seeking the truth ... you will find it.

The belief that you MUST be some sort of a "creator" is ludicris! You are better off not subscribing to the belief of the masses. In fact, a majority of the world's "geniuses", like it or not, do not or did not believe in a supposed "god". It seems the more intelligent people become, or the more advanced, the less they need an excuse for the history of history.

So what your saying is you have found religion to be lacking? Look closer, its allowed some wonderful advances in the human condition, its brought many uncivilized people into accepting inadequacies in the world and allowed them to participate, and its made life tolerable. Perhaps what is needed from you is to question outloud the parts your unhappy with, allowing others in the church community the chance to address your issues because we all see things differently in Gods world. Thats what makes Gods world so much better than where everyone thinks and acts the same way.
