Does justice even exist? Justice is doing what is right, but everyone has a different idea of what that is, So is justice maybe more of a rationalized, form of revenge? And how can balancing hurt with more hurt achieve anything? Our ideas of what is right vary in every way possible over time and between cultures, a couple hundread years ago if a theif was caught he'd have his hands cut off, almost a death sentance back then. Now he'd be sentanced to jail for a couple of months, or years. An improvement? And if it exists, will we even achieve/perfect it? As new technologies and sciences and religions come in to play, and different ethical issues evolve, will we ever regulate? and to what cause? how can we define justice if its different for every person, and changes with time? Is it too much to say that what we consider just today may be seen in a couple hundread years when looking back, as we look at the theif today? Sorry this is so long and not a very specific question.
