they have good meds for us now..
but if you are med sensitive..like me...heck i am allergic to benydryl..

then you need to change your sphere of control...
we can not, control the world around us...its gonna spin the way it wants...and thats usually, out of control..
allow yourself an outlet...my books on my selves....my outlet...even with 7 kids, they know...mom will bust a gut...if the books aren't EXACTLY the way they should be....but i have had to give it up in other ways...you can be sure!!...please believe me..it STILL bothers me....i have just learned...i can't control it, i have to breathe, walk away...or go somewhere i can vent my particular personality....and CONCIOUSLY not...NOT let it bother me...it does take some effort, somedays more then others. like i said, i have my space and ways to vent.....try to find your self one....
try a garden...grow one of every variety, of one type of plant, {the obsession}..and plant them all in very maticulous rows....{the complusion}
when the world around us, doesn't comply...to your orderly way of thinking...go to your garden, weed, trim, and make at least this little part of your world..perfect.

Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life. Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism. Confronting your fears and allowing yourself the right to be human can, paradoxically, make you a far happier and more productive person.

There was a holy French priest, John Vianney, who told a story about an old peasant who used to sit in silence in the Church staring at the crucifix. When someone asked him what he was doing, he said, "I look at Him, He looks at me, and we are happy together." Is this what your prayer is like, or are you just compulsively saying the same words over and over again? Prayer is being in God's presence. You don't need to speak at all. Read "The Practice of the Presence of God" by Brother Lawrence. It might well be that to fight your OCD, you need to stop repeating word-prayers and learn to pray more deeply. God bless.

It's possible to pray and also see a doctor. They are not mutually exclusive. Maybe God will lead you to a good doctor and God will guide him or her to help you, and that's how He will answer your prayers.

Modern medicine is a gift from God. No shame in using it.

It is my thought that to give up on anything is giving into something else. By giving up on prayer you are choosing to give into your problem. With your prayer add music (good christian)and reading the Bible. The devil does what he can to pull us down and our only hope is in Christ. No matter how bad things get for me I never give up, and eventually they work out.....in His time

If you pray and truely believe that God will heal you, then it will happen. You be healed. It may take a long time, or, it may happen immeditley. But God will help you, no matter how impossible it seems. With God all things are possible.
