If the Judeo-Christian faith teaches us that God loves us unconditionally, and wants us to do the same, why do people usually look down on others for their choice of faith that differs from their own? Its almost like a competition, rather than a beautiful way to become closer to God.

Ok, so like, I ask the question 7 times for proof of God, 7 times a day, so thats 49 times a week here I ask for proof. And its been 10 weeks. So thats 490 times I've asked for proof of God.

Do I ask a 491rst time?

You know how in the bible it says to forgive someone 7 times 70? Well, I just put that into the calculator and it came up as 490. Is that possible? That we actually only have to forgive someone 490 times? Like what if they keep doing things to you, and you have forgiven them exactly 490 times? what about the 491 time? I am not arguing the bible. I only want you to either correct me, or give me your interpretation of this. Thanks.

I was evacuted from my home in NY because of all the flooding going on. My life, including my husbands and my family was in danger and it made me think alot of life and how fragile it is. As on old Yahoo Answers fan Ive noticed a decline in good questions and as I sit and watch the new questions online half of them are report abuse cases. I really dont feel like sifting through the mess. How can we get Yahoo to clean it up because Im tired of spending my hours mopping up with report abuse buttons.

Why do you pray to statues..Light candles..Have graven images to adorn your home...none of this is in the Bible...God said let No man Add to or Take away from his words...It seems to me you have added alot of things. Also the bowing down to these images and your priest. Holding a Simple man as someone of worship...the pope.

What if in this year 2006, i wrote a gospel of a person i though was holy, and though was a very kind person. In 2000 years(4006) will my gospel still be originally translated as i wrote it in 2006, or will my gospel dramatically have changed based on the different interpretations, opinions, and persons beliefs who translate or interprit my gospel. Would my gospel be the same as i originally wrote it or would it be completally different from it's original beggining? How does this relate to our gospels today, or our bibles, or korans, etc...?

i am irish, british, french, german, swiss, and indian and my family immagrated to america over 100 years ago. I am proud of my strong heritage but i think if i where to change it Id be Asian because asian girls are the prettiest!
