I have travell extensive in Asia. Only one time i saw Korean eat dog meat. I hear of it in China, but never did I see it in 3 year of life there. I live in Japan for 2 year, Japan people dont eat dog or cat, Japan people treat dog and cat better than there own child. I only spend breif time in other Asia country, but never see any people eat dog or cat or rat.
But I did see website that say American eat dog. It was powerfull and strong. I alsmot convisnced that American eat its own pet dog. But that is better than an other website I saw, it showd a man from America eat a human child. That is more disgasting than eat a dog or a cat or a rat.
Dose it really matter if people from other country eat dog or cat or rat? Surely an amimal is only an aniaml, and if a cow is a walking steke the dog is to?

Yeah it's true but they like to deny it and point fingers at other countries. They try saying it's the same as eating cows and pigs however, they intentionally tourture the dogs because they think the more painful the death, the more adreneline rushes into the meat, making it taste better.
They claim it's their culture but eating humans were canibals culture and that **** didn't survive. They also claim that usually they eat dog because they cant afford other sources of protein. Last time I checked, Japan was supposed to be the fashion capital. They sure are gifted when it comes to technology but they eat dogs?!?! There's this website called ogrish.com It shows the horrible things they do in japan and korea if you do a search on cats and dogs. Of course japan says koreans do it and koreans say chinese do it.
I recently posted a comment about how disgusting that is in the Japanesse and Korean section. Needless to say they were all upset and making excuses. Many denied. I work with many asians that have discussed this issue with me and they admit that this is a practice in their country.*****
This d@mn yozora is crazy! Are you kidding me with killing organisms and entities???? This ***** lives for these topics. She spends most of her day searching for dog eating topics so she can try to prove that everyone kills something. You don't know sh!t about my backyard so spare me. Also if you don't eat dog, then shut the f*ck up!! And stop waisting your time trying to compare a vegetarian to a dog eater! Oh and idiot, I've supplied the website. Since you're calling me hateful, this comment goes personally out to you YOZORA... Try openning your slanted eyes and maybe you would see the name of the website!!!
MORON!

yes but not only asians. i went to cambrodia and they were eating dog babies that had been still in the mother's body, but they take it out and eat it. GROSS! the only asians who do that really live in vietanm and some also eat spiders and crap. i from brazil and my grandparents and most of my family ate cat and spiders. i tried it once and i barfed. YUCK IT WAS SO GROSS! my brother, mom and dad hate it. but yeah some people most being of asian culture eat that. good question. have you ever watched that show on the survival guide with that guy from surviovr. he goes to different places around the word where it's hard to live and stays there for one week. he has no resources and survival things like that. he was in the desert one episode and he ate a squirrel and it's bones and a dead rat. it was gross.

I'm an asian from India and I do not eat any of the above mentioned things. Some tribal people in north India do eat rats. I've heard that the Chinese eat cockroaches but I'm not sure. The Japanese do eat raw fish. Many Indians are vegetarians. People who eat non-vegetarian food in India don't eat anything except Fish, goat meat, crabs, lobsters, shrimps and chicken.

Unequivocally, Yes. On an episode of Jeff Smith's "The Frugal Gourmet", he toured a market in Korea. As the camera panned over cages with fluffy kitties and puppies, he voiced over "remember this isn't a pet store.
My brother and father both served in Asia and further confirmed this for me, saying dog isn't that bad if you don't think about what your eating. As for myself, I can only say that Yes in the Arab world, they do eat goat. It's pretty good actually.

Some do, yes. But only SOME - even in the few countries where it's acceptable (Korea, China for example) most people do NOT eat it!
Japan is one country where people have NEVER eaten dogs & cats, although some people probably had to resort to eating rats towards the end of WWII - they were literally starving to death you know. That sort of thing happens in war time. But if it happened, it did NOT catch on! It actually happens in ALL countries when food supplies are destroyed... including Britain.
Anyway, did you know that in SOME countries people eat COWS??
PIGS??!!
SHEEP!! Cute little lambs.. aaahh!!
Chickens!!
Turkeys!!
Horses..!! Even that ultra-respected cuisine king France has horse on the menu!
In Guam - an American territory - they have a speciality of BAT SOUP!!
In Japan, people often eat RAW FISH!! And so do lots of Westerners - every time they eat oysters ... yuk!
In Japan, Korea, France, Germany, and MANY other Western countries people sometimes eat RAW MEAT!!! Beef, horse ... you name it!
In some parts of America they eat ALLIGATORS!! Rattlesnake too! Shocking...!
In America, and previously in the UK, people eat MAD COWS!!
In Java they eat bee larva, cooked in coconut milk and spices over small fire in banana leaf. They also eat " Rujak Cingur. It is basically a vegetable salad mixed with buffalo lips and eaten with shrimp paste sauce. The buffalo lips really add rubbery texture to the salad."
In Australia they eat crocodile & kangaroo... and they have tequila candies - lollipops - with worms in!
In Sudan, they eat cow's brain curry...
Not to mention the fact that so many people around the world eat MacDonald's...!!
BTW, don't take too much notice of s_sill ... she's a vegetarian, which is fine, but she's got it into her head - through a specific web-page that she REFUSES to share with anyone else - that Japan has dog on the menu. If she hates the slaughter of dogs, she should sort things out in her OWN back yard before she spills her hateful guts all over these pages! SHE may not eat meat, but in every field of food crops MILLIONS of cute little field mice die - Hundreds of rabbits & hares are gassed or shot or poisoned to prevent them eating her carrots and lettuce - BILLIONS of sweet little insects are destroyed...! SHE is not so pure, and she has no right to accuse people - especially of something they don't even DO - while she's responsible for the murder of mice, rabbits, and insects. Not to mention BIRDS!
Even vegetarian food involves the slaughter - quite brutally - of innocent animals.

It is done in China and Korea, as well as Vietnam I believe. They don't in Japan or Singapore and I think they don't in Indonesia either, but I am not sure about Indonesia. I have no idea about Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Papua New Guinea or Malaysia.
