In answering another's question, I realised I needed to ask this myself. Christians reading this - please understand, I've struggled with this for so many years now- if anyone can answer my problem, I can't tell you how happy that'd make me.

I think I believe in a more powerful being- but I'm not sure I like him. I'm a questioning agnostic, I guess. My particular problem with the Christian God is inconsistency and favourtism. This is well illustrated with the story of Moses.

God 'hardened Pharaoh's heart' so he wouldn't let the Hebrews go. If this is true, then not only does God meddle with this man's free will and as such is just as culpable for the sin, but it is because of Pharaoh's unwillingness to let the Hebrews go that God kills every first-born Egyptian. All those innocent lives sacrificed for the sins of one man- one man who was being controlled like a puppet.

How do you square this in your mind?

Mine was at a friends home years ago. We were cooking dinner for a girls night out, had too much wine. (we had spoke of this in the past but never acted on it) and was waiting for some friends to show. I spilt my wine all over myself and went to shower, she came in to bring me a towel and just got in and started kisssing me and well, one thing lead to another and we wound up in the kitchen on the floor and when the first girl got there we tried to act normal, at least I did but she told and when I walked into the living room they were both naked and I got naked and we all had somemore wine and talked and laughed and gave each other rub downs, and by the time everyone (7 total) everyone had their dresses off and was having a GOOD time. We never spoke of that night again, oh but how I wish I could do it again.

Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida (geographically it's Southern but otherwise...), South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia.

Some people call West Virginia southern. I'm not so sure I agree with that.

No part of Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, or Delaware can be considered Southern in any way.

My picks:
Favs: Texas, Alabama, Mississippi (especially Southhaven), west and middle Tennessee
Okay: Georgia, Arkansas, east Tennessee
Not-so-favs: Kentucky (especially Louisville), Florida, Virginia

-My favs: they're my favs b/c of the natural beauty and people
-Okay: these states have a lot to offer but just doesn't suit my personality. I have nothing against them, though.
-My not-so-favs: natural beauty abounds in each of these states, but the people can be pretty rude.

I am in a small 2 man office in chicago. Our corporate headquarters is in Australia and we communicate with them via e-mail and video conference on a weekly basis. The man I work with is a tech. support rep--I am in sales. He has been with the company longer than I, who just started in March. He is an anal, detailed person and for me the "devil is in the details" so to speak.
We are always at loggerheads, about how I write e-mails, how I package orders, that I can't burn CD's properly or remember things well. I try to write down what I can't remeber. But he is always telling me that he is having these conversations about my lack of detail with me bacause Australia doesn't like conflict and wants him to talk to me. He wants to be privy to my phone conversations and be kept in the loop on everything I do. He speaks with Australia on a nightly basis and I'm certain there is conversation about me going on behind my back. What should I do?

I am a stage actor in ohio (sigh) I have preformed over 12 productions and in a theater that hold 2000 people.. I really want to get my big break how ? if I live in ohio there is nothign to audition for in ohio help!!
