# 1 the question is in the wrong catagory, which is really going to limit the answers you get...#2 the only way you will ever attain your goals is to move out and move either to NYC or CA... no one is ever going to discover you or give you a big break in ohio... I don't know your age, but if you are old enough.......talk to your family, they want you to be happy and they want the best for you, they love you don't they???... sure they will miss you and you will miss them... but it is all part maturing and having your own life... it has to happen at some point anyway... no one will come knocking on your door where you are.... be strong and do what you know you need to do to begin your own independent life and have the career you want... best wishes!

You will at least have to take trips to new york and the city of angels.
You will need to get an agent who has offices in those cities.
If you can't make the trips you won't be able to work in film.
You could do television commercials locally for a while and get some tv credits under your belt. Many current stars began their careers as commercial models.
Good luck.

You really need to be in either NY or Hollywood. Otherwise you'll stay stuck in community theatre in Ohio.
12 productions isn't a lot, either. I say keep doing what you're doing....hone your talents more....study hard....do a lot of community theatre for more experience on your resume and work on your portfolio.
A talent agent won't think 12 productions is much experience.
Good luck!

You do not say how old you are, but because you are locked into a family situation, I assume you are still young.
Go to school, study and get the best grades you can possibly get! Apply for scholarships and go to college. Get yourself a basis for life, and study acting also.
For every person who makes it big in the movies, there are dozens who are waiting tables, and trying for their big break. I hope you get your break and are very successful, but you want a fall back situation.
Good luck!!

Sorry to say, but I think you have no choice if you REALLY want to get into movies. Hollywood, Vancouver, even NYC *might* give you a shot, but if you aren't where the casting occurs, you can't get the part.
Not sure what your parents have to do with YOU moving. Explain...
You might be able to find some ad work if your book is available to local agencies.

well maybe you should get a job so that you can pay for yourself to move out of state (im from ohio too, but am moving this weekend) you could always get an agent from new york and have them represent you. but chances are you'll just have to wait and save $.

Pack your ovaries you fairy! Grow back those balls and move to New York or LA where all of the talent agencies are. When you have made it big, you can go back to your family tall and proud! Even if you don't make it, your family will still love you.

You should start by paying attention to your surroundings, such as what category you mistakenly posted this question in. You should also Check Spelling.
