every religious person believes his or her religion is the one God adheres to. I was born a baptist and according to the bible it says if you beleive that Christ died for your sins and was ressurected, and you dont denounce him, your straight in.well that means all non christians go to hell. Or i should say your "soul " goes one place or another.C'mon man if we just landed here from another planet and heard this non-sense we'd swear this planet is wacko. what does your soul do for eternity anyway?

I have been a pentacost for most my 20 years alive, but my boyfriend is 7th day adventist. I would really like to understand his religion alittle better and get other peoples feelings toward it.

We were having a prayer meeting and group worship time. A business man came in who had suffered from diabetes for a long time. He said he had lost feeling totally in his feet. We were all praying for each other and my friend got down on the floor and laid both his hands on his feet and began praying. He prayed for quite a while. A few weeks later the man returned and told us the Lord had healed him and the feeling in his feet had returned. Blessed be the Lord Jesus....sweet Jesus....

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of yahoo answers? Can't the question asker just "search the web" himself?

It is so easy to go to this magic box and get an answer to almost anything. This is my new toy and I'm having a ball, BUT...I hope I never lose my love of books .When I see an answer to one of my questions that would take the minimum of 10 minutes to answer, pop up in three minutes, it's like they faxed me a page off the web. I envisioned everyone running to their record collections and madly searching thru them when I asked Beatle or Wings questions.Instead I got a perfectly typed out HUGE list of songs that didn't mean anything to me. I'm old fashioned. I'm also sleepy.

when a child SUDDENLY starts acting out . NOT because of being spoiled or lack of dicipline or mental illness. why can't parents see that when a child's behavior suddenly changes it could be because he/she is being molested.

I came up with this little phrase while writing an essay for my high school government class about the War on Terror back in 2003. I think it single-handedly bagged me an A. Call me arrogant, or whatever, but I thought it was so clever, I commited it to memory.

An unjust peace that permits tranquility at the cost of one's dignity and sovereignty is not worth the blood, sweat, and tears that were spared to keep it. Such a condition is the shackles that make us slaves to the whims of others. True peace, being not only the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice and liberty, can not be granted by the mercy of one's enemies. It is borne of the hardships and sacrifices endured by those willing to fight and die for it. Such a goal is the only cause worthy of so arduous an effort, and the only reward worth so high a price.

I reposted this question in a different way because people weren't answering the question.

I know about the Jewish religion, because my grandmother was Jewish so please don't preach to me about it. I just want to know why (some) Christians can't accept the difference? It's your religion, it's a freedom and a preference. If you call yourself a Christian, you shouldn't discrimiate other religions or you're prejudice.

Here are mine, what are yours?

I believe that ghosts are the souls of people who are not resting peacefully. Someone who was murdered and never got justice, someone who was wrongfully put to death and never recieved a sincere apology from their killer, a spouse who is not with their soulmate, things like that. I also believe that spirits are lost loved ones who look over us in our time of need. They are different from ghosts because they are peaceful in their death but want to look over their families from time to time to make sure that they are okay.

Does this make sense?
