I was raised a Baptist too, and it only takes a little thinking to realize that each religion developed in a vaccuum and truly thought at the time that they had a monopoly on heaven. Now that we're more aware of the whole world, and history, and science, I think it's a bit simplistic to hang on to any of those beliefs. Religion is anachronistic and thinking people need to relegate it to the same category as the old Greek myths, which were thought to be true in their day as well.

Majority of the meek ones will inherit the earth, not the heavens. This is according to Jesus, and the inspired psalmist. Read Matthew 5:5; Psalm 37:29, King James, and you will see.
A few, however, chosen by God himself and bought from this earth (meaning they go to heaven) will rule with Christ when the time comes.-- Revelations 5:10
Many of us have been fooled to believe that we will go to heaven if we die in God's favor. A few logical questions however will debunk this myth.
Questions such as: (1) Why were Adam and Eve placed on earth, and not in heaven? They were the first perfect humans after all. Why did God have to bring the Israelites to the promised land--why not just bring them to heaven? Where were some of Jesus friends--like Lazarus--resurrected? In heaven or on earth?

No religion goes to heaven. Only those who have given their lives to Christ Jesus as and accepted him as their personal savior and redeemer, not a religious act, but a personal act will go to heaven. There is no other way in. And what makes you think some other planet would find this wacko - maybe they would find the fact that we are so rejective of Christ is what's wacko!

Religion will not get people into Heaven if anything it will keep them out. Only those who believe in Christ, the Son of the Most High God, who died in our place, who forgives our sins, and who is constantly taking our side and our case to the Father. No one religion or denomination will get into heaven but all who believe in Him.

Well if the world ended today no religion would go to heaven. Religion itself doesn't save a soul. It is love, faith, and God's mercy what actually saves.
Another thing is that almost every religion has a sort of "heaven" so everyone would go to their particular heaven.
I don't believe any religion is "the true" religion. Almost all of them bear some sort of truth. And if your religion teaches to put love, charity, and forgiveness in practice, then you have a chance in believing in truth.

I do participate in a religion but my religion preference will never get me into the gates of heaven or win me over with God
It is mt personal walk with Him that he adheres to and it is so with every person who has ever walked this earth or ever will.

Religions don't go to heaven, people go to heaven. Everybody who lives their respective beliefs to the best of their ability will go to heaven. Just because all people don't have or understand all truth doesn't make them bad. It's what they do with what they have that is most important.

God doesn't accept religions to Heaven only individuals who have true faith in him. Your soul when you get to heaven will have eternal rest, fellowship with Jesus and the saints and we will eat and be merry.

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Joh 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
Joh 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Joh 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
Joh 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

ppl will be judged as individuals. u don't automatically go to heaven if u practice a certain religion. it all depends on u. however, u do have to choose the right path and then follow it. whether u follow it or not , is ur choice.
