When it comes to Jesus Christ it's TRUTH! HONEST TRUTH! Nothing but the TRUTH! The rest of what I believe in life could very well be drama or someones interpretation that I have bought into through mass media, misinformed study on my part, or blind acceptance, but not my faith in Jesus Christ - too many things have happened in my life that says THIS IS THE TRUTH! HE IS THE TRUTH! I'll never doubt Jesus Christ, he'll never leave me nor forsake me, and I can trust him when there's no one else. There's nothing dramatic in that - Truth is truth is truth.

I'm a Christian. There are lots of things that I am uncomfortable with in the Christian faith. But so much of it makes sense to me that I am willing to accept the parts that don't.

For example, I'm convicted of my sin by the Bible. It doesn't seem to me that the ancient people had that much understanding and insight into psychology where they could make people accept responsibility for the things they are guilty of. So I believe the Bible, even in the parts where it would be awfully convenient for me to ignore it. It wouldn't be intellectually honest of me toward myself to do otherwise.

Then there are things that I just plain don't understand. Nothing new about that, I'm finite, and even in the area of other things that are finite, I don't understand a lot. But I don't have to fully understand everything. I use this computer without fully understanding how it works. If I hesitated to do or use anything unless I fully understood it, I'd be missing out on an awful lot in life.

Then there are things which it doesn't seem to me like any human being could possibly know without being told, so that when we have knowledge of these areas, it seems that it must have come by revelation. I flatter myself that I understand people, yet unless someone tells me what they are like, my knowledge of them and my understanding of them is limited. Yet if they choose to reveal themselves to me, I get acquainted with them.

If you mean by 'drama' mere fables for the purpose of guiding people into a conventional morality, no, I don't think that my faith is like that. I don't think most faiths are like that.
