You know, like from Mark Twain, or maybe an original? Mine is an old Indian (Native American) proverb: "Praying is good. But always paddle away from the rocks."

If you were to name a time in your life when you were affected by something the most, would it be because that thing hurt you terribly, or made you terribly happy?

Which is more powerful, to you?

I like the goth subculture and I think I'd like to be one, however, would I be a poser if I didn't worship the devil? I'm actually quite religious.

During the celebration of mass in the Catholic church, does the Eucharist really become converted into the body and the wine the blood of Jesus Christ or is are these just symbolic representations? If they do get converted, would it be right for any one to view the communicants as cannibals?

Master Free Mason, Selami Isindag, in his book intended for Mason audience, entitled Evrim Yolu (The Way of Evolution), explains the matter in this way:
“The most important characteristic of our school of morality is that we do not depart from the principles of logic and we do not enter the unknowns of theism, secret meanings or dogmas. On this basis we assert that the first appearance of life began in crystals under conditions that we cannot know or discover today. Living things were born according to the law of evolution and slowly spread over the earth. As a result of evolution, today's human beings came to be and advanced beyond other animals both in consciousness and intelligence”.

Francis Darwin, Life and Letters of Charles Darwin, Vol.II, from charles Darwin to J. Do Hooker, March 29, 1963

How many people out there are asking the deep theological questions, and searching for the answers? Questions such as, Why did God create man, How has the fall of Man effected our relationship with God, How does Jesus save us? What is Salvation? What is the role of the Holy Spirit? What is the role of the church? To me they are all examples of deep questions that I am searching answers for.

thats why i believe god is dead and forgotten, i will forever believe that there is no such thing as him the all mighty untill my "awakening"- when i have a near death experience and god extends his hand and unvails himself to be true and real and saves me from my peril and temptation- i will believe WE are the rulers of our life, not predetermined, not following a laid out plan. i believe there to be no heaven or hell and if there truely is then hell would be represented by the earth we live on and heaven being six feet under.....away from the pain....

I'm not Jewish, but I'd like to learn more about it. I have an appointment with the rabbi at a local synagogue at the end of this month, but I'd like to prepare myself ahead of time so I can better ask questions and be involved in the dialogue. What are good websites and/or other resources that would give me at least a basic overview?

Okay, so my boyfriend told me he isnt a christian and that he doesnt want to live for christ, and he wont have time for christ.
Selfish huh?

I told him that Jesus want's me to have A Christian, cause it wont work out. Then he said no, it will, lets try this time

He doesnt understand that a believer and a nonbeliever wont work out.

2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

what can i say to him to make it more believable?

Does God have someone out there for me?

Thanks everyone, and I Love you all very much! You've helped me alot!
