Do you pick up litter when you see it?

I pick it up in front of my house and sidewalk.... I wear gloves though... I am afraid to pick up litter anywhere else.. people are so dirty and disgusting.

My mother lives in a wood area and has to go pick up porn pictures- alot of home taken pics- all the times off the road and on the side of the street so children don't see it!

Yes and No. When I'm at work, if I find litter in the hallways or kitchens, etc., I pick it up.

If it's outside on the sidewalk, I will kick it to a spot where no one will trip or fall on it. The City has sidewalk cleaners that come around on a regular basis to clean up the trash, so leaving it does not bother me. Only if I know it won't be cleaned up by anyone else do I pick it up.

I try but it's a daunting task! All the usual, if it's not too icky, etc. Our business is on the highway and there's constant litter there. For those who think we have community service and all to take care of the trash, there's not near enough of that and the rest is either left or paid to be picked up by guess who? you and me the taxpayer.

I live in a really dirty city, there is always trash blowing around everywhere. Lots of times I have a vision of me and my friends having a pick up party and cleaning some of it up, but we would probably be arrested for it. When I go camping, though, I ALWAYS try to leave my site as clean as possible, by picking up my own and whatever else I find, and taking it to a proper disposal place.

I don't pick it up...but I don't litter either. I'm kind of phobic so...touching trash freaks me out.

The only time I can honestly say I do is when it's on my property.

Now I feel bad for not picking up litter....thanks... =P

Definitly pick it up! Litter is a big pet peeve of mine. It was what I refer to as laziness! I do beach sweeps in my area on occasion. It makes me feel better to know that I am keeping the earth a little cleaner.

If you are talking about trash, yes I pick it up, but if you are talking about a cat turd covered in litter, I walk around it.

My family has a rule- leave with one more piece of trash than you came with. I don't clean city streets or anything but I will pick up trash and deposit it properly. On rivers it's a different story, I will paddle to the other side to retrieve trash.

i use to be like that until i got the job that i have now.... i work for a non-profit agency about litter control... and the only place that has litter is my car... because when i have no where to put it.. i keep it in my car... until i clean it out, or get to the nearest trash can.... i have to practice what i preach... you dont litter.. i dont litter....

It depend what it is and if I wanna touch it. If its a plastic bag or something then, sure Ill pick it up. But if its an old sandwich or something nasty then theres no way Im picking it up.
