Is there anything you wish you could tell someone, but you would totally get in trouble or thrown in jail or something if you did? Say it here!! I would like to tell my coworker that I am sorry she is so anal, please get off my back; and I would tell my college aged cousin that I love all of her 12 year old friends and hope they are happy together. That felt good.

It is said that the past have shaped us in one way or another. But what if your past was traumatic. Should we leave it behind or still view it as lesson learned?

I'm currently trying to find out about human nature, what makes people tick, why they do things, what they believe, ect...

Now I'm wondering, why do so many people seem to be so unhappy? I'm reading answers to the questions I am writing, and this is leading to not only to the conclusion that many people in this world (or at least on Y!A) cannot read or comprehend, but more worryingly, that they are largely very insecure and damaged...

after reading some posts, it seems that many think people in small towns or rural areas in the US, are a bunch of bible thumping neanderthals, waiting in the brush to ambush outsiders. i wonder how many people with that view of small town america, have even been, stayed, lived, in a rural area.

in my town, we know everyone at least by sight. we don't bother each other, but we care about each other. we be there in a second if anyone needed help. that would include anyone new to our community. no one out here in neanderthal land, cares much about anything except the kind of person you are in our community.

i have to admit, i was pretty disappointed that fellow americans have such a negative view of rest of us.

If suddenly Jesus appears, will you be saved? Will you go to heaven or hell? What would you tell Jesus, if you found out that He was for real?

Privacy IS important! I don't want people to know my police record; don't want people to know if I was being trated for syphlis and don't want people to know my banking password. but in each of those cases there is a tangible, in most cases there is no tangible loss if people find out information about me. In many cases ther is no way to keep things private! If you walk out of a Doctor's office with a cast on you arm, people are going to KNOW, you have a fracture - wether the doctor lets people know or not. If you are acting like a bipolar, people do not need to read your medical record. If you drnk and drive, people are going to know you are a drunk.
There is only one P in HIPAA and it does not stand for 'Privacy'. Yet all that is done in name of HIPAA is litigation in the name of privacy. Privacy is important but when it cmaes in the way of people's safety and the extent to which they can be served by health care profassionals and national security, we need to think again. Agree?

For example, an atheist might believe that there is no God, and that everything is a product of evolution. A Christian might believe that God created the earth, and that He has a plan for humanity. Obviously, each person believes that his/her point of view is the truth, but neither can be proven to the same extent that 2+2=4 can be proven. This is where my question lies: Can mankind progress to a common understanding that there is a difference between what is concretely factual, and what is personal belief? Is this understanding necessary for societal relations in the future? Is it worth working toward? What effect would it have on how we address disagreements? Please discuss...
