What are they doing to be rude?
If they are talking about something that you are uncomfortable with then tell them, I'd like to change the subject please.
If they are being rude in some other way, just use an I statement:
"I feel _____ when I _____ because _____ and I would like _____.
(never start the second blank with the word 'you')
This takes all the blame onto yourself (I know this sucks but they can't argue with how you feel or how you are being affected) and they can understand how you feel and what is making you feel that way.
Here is an example:
"I feel frustrated when I can't get my work done because I have a deadline and I would like some time alone please."
You never that say they are specifically rude but they get the point and aren't offended.

Take a deep breath, take your mind into some nice place, and when you have reached the state of mind when you no longer hear what the person is saying, then shot a short-polite answer, and show no interest on the situation.

depend on which group of people you talk about. if they are strangers, just ignore them, and walk away. If they are your friends, tell them you are busy and make up common excuses. If they are in your family, just move out and be independent. If they are your next door neighbors, just say hi and walk briskly away. The general idea is, sometimes it is better to run away from things than to cope with them because those things are always unresolvable issues.

ignore them. the more attention you give them the more they are going to want to be rude. Rude people love to see you feel uncomfortable and squirm. Just remember while you are ignoring them that you are better. There will always be rude people in the world.

Yes, there is. Try as much as possible to be a good listener. And then when some is done talking, your reply should be, " MR/Miss, I don't blem you for being Rude to me, may be, that's how you find happiness."

I say, anyone who's rude deserves to be treated rudely. Usually, I avoid them and don't give them any ammo if they bother me.
