This was just handed to me, I can make the entirety of it availabe thru e-mail if requested otherwise this is the summary..or last paragraph or so..{{Doctor Dodson says, "Obedience has been misused by dictators. Obedience causes some to fear the rise to power of dictators. A dictator must take advantage of obedience in order to dictate. Kind cooperation is a virtue. Please investigate drumming up business for wrong human development profits and for repari profits that object to good human development communications. Math place out of business all that profit by lack of mathematical accuracy. Mathematically accurate happy childhood, thinking, and meeting needs equals mathematically accurate mental health. Freedom is mathematically accurate. Be free." }}

Personally I think what she was trying to communicate, or how I sum it up is: Our true-selves are found on the fulcrum somewhere between Rebellion and Compliance. How about you?

Our 25 year old daughter lived with us before and after the birth of her child because she would have had a hard time on her own, both financially and emotionally. We have played a major role in babysitting and caring for the child who is now 2 years old. She is now living with a good man she plans to marry in the next few months. She has taken the child with her and has decided that the child needs to "get used to" living with her and her soon to be husband. She wants to keep him 5 days and allow him to see us on weekends. While I agree that children need to be with their parents, I am concerned about the negative life-long effects of this sudden separation at a developmental time when the child is learning about attachments. I would support a gradual separation period - every other day for a few weeks, then every two days, etc. I am worried about potential feelings of abandonment and how it will affect his future relationships. Have others experienced this and have advice?

Feling depressed with everything. A few months ago was into everything. to an extent, looked forward to getting up in the morning, now, i just cant be bothered anymore. im thinking about absolutly everything, loads of thoughts and problems running through my head, even at nighttime when trying to go to sleep. Just everyday tasks i just dont want to do.

I used to be in college, now im not in work, which i know isnt the problem, although i reallise it is a change in circumstances.

Obviously i need to go to the doctor for professional advice, but what does it sound like to you? Have you been through something like me?

Thank you if you reply as it is a long question. Cheers

Ok heres the thing. I love to ask questions I think of the craziest questions i love to learn I love to debate and when someone else is asking or giving and answer I debate or I come up with a reason why there answer dose not work for me I just run the question to death. and at times this comes off to people that I think that I am always right or I think others are always wrong which is not true at all I just like to know and to know everything about it. this is how i learn so how can I change it so that I do not offend others?

The whole family tore apart the bedroom where we were sleeping. We looked around the house. I checked my house. Went back to there house to look some more. The catch is that one of the girls saw where I put my wallet. As usual I fell asleep first and when I woke up the wallet was gone! I do not think I stole and I already asked them many times if they new where it was. Please help me!!!

I've always been someone who has an opinion about everything, and I'm really emotional. I have ALWAYS been the first person to speak up and say something. But for the past 6 months or so, i've found myself still having as many thoughts/opinions/philosophies as before, but no matter how hard I try, I just CAN'T express them. Everything i feel now just seems indescribable, i can't put any of my thoughts into words. So i've found myself being really quiet, when i'm not usually a quiet person. I have no idea why this is happening.

I'm not sure if this is a factor or not but,
About 6 months ago i started dating my first serious boyfriend, and I find myself at a loss for words every time we speak. There's so much I want to say, and i fight it as much as I can, but I can't bring myself to say anything. (Regarding my feelings for him, not other things, we of course have conversations about things..)

Please help, i'm really confused! :(

"In the presence of a stereotype that men are better, women tend to underrate their own performance, while men overrate their own, regardless of demonstrated ability. "We find that if you compare boys and girls, or men and women, with...the exact same scores on standardized math tests, boys think they are better than girls."

"...women in this group rated their ability as lower and expressed lower goals. Thus, exposure to a generalization about one's group changes the way one interprets one's own ability—and in turn shapes one's goals for the future. These effects, says Correll, 'cumulate over women's lives and result in dramatically different outcomes for men and women.' "

http://www.martinfrost.ws/htmlfiles/dec2006/men_ambition.html

I think it starts at a very early age when boys are encouraged to be more more outgoing and emotionally stronger than girls. "Boys don't cry; man up & do what you have to do."

"Girls aren't supposed to fight. It's un-ladylike."

What do you think?

Given that alcohol & drug abuse is soaring, obesity and depression related illnesses are rising rapidly. The most widley watched television show (Eastenders) is about a bunch of people treating each other in the most apallingly disrespectful manner. Does anybody agree that the current mindset of pursuing contentment through materialistic gain at what ever cost to common decency is just not working or never will do, or am I just an histerical old twerp.

The obvious answer to both of these questions is "Yes." And yet, one would not know it from the answers to some questions posted on Y!A. Take this recent Q&A, for instance:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtvWFytgfltgBDmiLt9Y8s7ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071226102153AAidZQW&show=7#profile-info-lC3MWfnvaa

Now, this is the question I would like answered:

Why it is that people seem incapable of making the distinction between thought, feeling and behavior?

Oh...one more thing. To be selected as "Best Answer," your response must meet ALL of the following specifications. It must: 1) be cogent and probative, or at least intelligible; 2) be written in complete, grammatically correct English sentences (no abbreviated words, e.g., u, ur, imho, bcuz, etc.); 3) be a direct response to the question I asked; and 4) cite sources you have paraphrased or restated, if applicable.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
