We all of us touch each life we come in contact with and we all have the potential to cause both joy or harm. I would hope that I am remembered as someone who loved everyone and held no grudges or meaness...after I've passed out of someones life, how feel you?

Wishing you a very happy New Year with abundant potential for health, happiness and peace, love, Pami :-)

I realized that I take my self way to serious. It seems like I cannot simply laugh about my past mistakes and I always blame my self about (normal) mistakes I made in life like failures in exams in study etc. I see even Michael Jordan laughing when he misses a dunk, although he is known as a master of dunking etc. I always have a good sense of humor but I cant discover the sense of humor in my past mistakes. How can I do it?

i have come across this syndrome but i can't seem to find out what's the scientific term for it.
The condition is whereby the person is always right; up to the point which he/she couldn't face the fact making a mistake.
The person can't make mistakes, or else he/she will feel extremely depressed.
i'm not sure there is an exact term for it, however anyone out there who may has a clue about it, even a whisker of it, please answer this question. i really need to know the scientific term for this syndrome.

My question might seem weird but it is something I really need to know. I need to know hoe people value u, respect u and listen to u when u talk. I mean if u r chosen as a leader of a club or sports or anything.....without me working the guts off....how can i work as a team? I mean i don't want to work myself....i want the whole team to work with me. I want everyone to get the fame. Also I want everyone to give me respect and have a value.
I want people to see that I don't just work if they tell me to....I have a value. I don't know how to describe it. But i am not saying it to be mean........but I am chosen as a leader for this one club and I need to work with everyone. I also want them to listen to me and work as a team. They all voted me to be the president of the club so how can i be a good role model to them. It is a youth club. Teenage club. where we do a lot of stuff together. Also...I need to know is it really worth doing? Is it woth being the leader. why did they pick me as their president when I am not even the oldest in that club??????ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh help me.

I am so disconnected from my own feelings I generally can not tell what I am feeling. I know I am feeling something but I can not identify the emotion. I can not afford proffessional help or whatever. Any suggestions please?

Thank you.

It seems like whatever I do, I am always losing. When I get in an argument, I lose. When I play a game, I lose. I have tried a different approach, ignoring it, but it only makes all my feelings worse. I just crawl into my shell like a defensless animal and feel awkward when I get yelled at. Then, I take anger out by getting mad at little tiny things. I feel the need to dominate weak things, I think this is because I don't feel at all powerful myself.

I'm a woman in her mid 40s but so lucky as I look in my early 30s. Im going through a really hard time now as I've achieved my career goals..can afford to take it easy but would love to meet a nice guy. I've had very few relationships even though I know Im good fun and am pretty (lots of friends tell me & Im often asked out). Two relationships went on for a few yrs but i couldnt have imagined spending my life with one of those guys and the other one lacked focus (I work hard and need this in a guy). I even tried online datine recently..but it is not my thing..I need to feel someone's presence to see if I like them. Problem is my taste is v narrow...younger guys/goodlooking/high achievers/nice person. I like so few, it is so difficult not to be lonely sometime. I have a good life otherwise, nice friends & family..but need LOve! Is this bad luck? Why cant I meet 'my guy'? I dont go consciously looking for a guy..just live my life but still, Im hungry for love.

Is there any connection between what color a person likes and their personality, or even mental state? A person who is cheerful might choose bright colored clothes, but what about traits that a person do not even know exist in them? Can whatever color they wear tell anything about this? For example, a person who is ashamed of their body would unconsciously choose dark colors? Like they're trying to hide from the rest of the world, or protecting themselves from getting hurt emotionally?

If you have no disabilities, no real problems, college educated, have talents, do not have kids, are not married, genuinely nice person who treats others as you wish to be treated, work full time, continually expand your education, don't do drugs, not an alcoholic, do not engage in criminal activity, have goals dreams and direction in life; in your opinion do you have control of achieving the things you want to achieve, and be the person you want to be? Is it a matter of luck? Is it a matter of being in the right place at the right time? Is it a matter of having the right connections who can help you be what you want to be? Or is it just a matter of constantly believing in yourself and applying yourself consistenly "trial and error" no matter what obstacles come your way? I certainly understand that we can only control what we do, and not what other people do regardless of the situation. However, do we have choices of where we will ultimately end up and be? I want to do the best I can.

no idea where to put this but here goes. a bit about me, im 19 years old, turning 20 in mid-jan. i live with my parents in a shithole of the bible belt. basically i was forced into christianity as a child, but i got past that. given, i spent my childhood scared that id go to hell. i went to various private schools in the area, but i got bullied in each one to the point i had to homeschool in 6th grade for my safety. from 6th-12th i was a virtual hermit, hating people in general, living with overprotective parents (they discouraged socializing), and living with depression and suicidal thoughts (i attempted it at least once) thru that time. to some extent i still have it, though the suicidal thoughts have gone down recently. i turned to the internet for my only human interaction, and even on the net most hate me, but its only words on a screen so who cares. im in a community college now (only caused iw as forced to). ive gotten good grades my entire school life and i know im fairly intel

I have no problems making eye contact with people. But I have a feeling that other people do have a problem with it. Just out of curiosity, can making eye contact offend a person? I mean to me it indicates engagement in a conversation and the expression of interest, but I would like your opinions
