Maybe some, I think all of us do to a certain degree. But I was taught from a young age that I am always the common factor, & the only one I have any power to change.

People tend to externalize most bad things and internalize most good things. This is normal human nature. People who tend to internalize everything are usually depressed and those who externalize everything tend to be narcissistic. This is part of the concept of locus of control as well as concepts from attribution theory.
There is also a cultural basis for this. Think of someone who can't find a job. If he can't find a job he will often blame this on things outside of himself. He's not getting a fair shake at the interview. He was discriminated against. He can't afford as nice of a suit as others applying for the job...etc. Yet in the same situation with this same person looking at someone else who can't get a job, he would say things like they are not trying hard enough, they don't have the social skills to pass an interview, they didn't take their education seriously enough and never finished their degree, etc.
Make sense?

Not really.
Life is like a set of dominoes lined up in a row, it only takes the first one to make the rest fall.
Turn those into people, if the very first person took the time to care how their actions will start a reaction, well, things just might be different.
How many times have you been the 'First' person?

Nope! I have a tendency to blame myself for everything that goes wrong, even if it's something someone else has done. Must stop that! Not good for children and other living things! :)

I certainly try not to. But if I later realize that I have, I make every effort possible to rectify the resultant unfairness.
Because of the limitless parameters involved in such a situation, it's not always possible to do this; so I just have to live with the guilt of having made such a mistake.
What about you? You post the question, but don't state whether you have such a tendency or not; nor whether when you do and only realize it later, what if anything you do about it? Please "Add Details".
Thanks,
Alberich

most of the time I know it's me so most of the time no. Sometimes when I'm just trying to cross the street and a parade comes along I start to wonder though.

Sure it's true, some of the time. If you don't participate in life, you can't be guilty of much.
