"Its not even that I really want to end this...its just like I need a little break right now to think things over I guess with my life. Like I said before and I will say it again I do care for you and I do understand that you want to change things and thats great...but I just need this for me right now. I just need my mind focused this semester and soccer right now. Its not even I dont want to give it another chance or anything, I just need like a little time off before it does happen you know. After that then we will see how we both feel about it. "

He coaches 3 soccer teams and has college so hes busy, and we got in a fight last week and he said this to me. Im devastated but i agreed and now im even more devastated i can't stop crying. i want to yell at him i want to send him a message beggin not to do this but i don't want to be whiny and im scared.

so i enjoy reading, books, newpapers, magazine..whatever, but when it comes to writng anything..for school, on my own..i suck at it. My mom works as a teacher at the school i go to.i'm a freshman. the class isn't particularly hard, but i hate it and it is a chalenge for me. we had a 100 pt. essay. the night before it was due i went to the teacher to help me out. she did, and i was clear on what i was writing. i did a rough draft, webbing ideas, all that stuff you're suppose to. i get is bad and i have a big fat freaking 69. the teacher goes to my mom and talks to her about it...goddd.

Anyway i guess i really want to know, Just because you read a lot of books and things, does that mean you have to be good at writing too?

anything studies or psycoligical(spelling?) views?

thanks

ok so if you read my last question i know you think i am a jerk. which i agree now. at the time i didnt know what i was doing. i just knew that I was in a spot. see the puppy of maybe 5 months had been handled bad and was skiddish against bigger guys. the vet said that we would never be allowed to take her around kids. due to the first ten people she would be fine with but for the 11 she would have a problem. so i was very troubled by it. and in our town the worst place for a dog is the dog pound. the dog pound is a place where it is supposed to be sanitary. but from former workers who couldnt take working there any more they said it was dirty. they were told to just rinse the cages instead of actualy was them which left lots of disease and dirt. infact a lot of animals that go in there need a lot of medical attention after being bought be cause of it. so i didnt want to take the puppy to the pound to end up like one of them. but i couldnt just give her to someone and lie and say she

I am an only child dealing with a mother with terminal cancer, who also recently lost her home. She has been significantly depressed since I was a child, at times suicidal. This news has furthered some of her negativity. We have an emotionally fraught relationship. As a child, my life was very stressful and in some ways abusive. The trouble is, I don't know how to support myself or my mother right now. She lives in another state, so I try to call often. Usually I am met with a lot of negativity regarding the world around her, as if I am a sounding board. It's hard. I am a good mother, a good student, a good worker, and strive to be a good partner. I feel most of my stress comes out during my time with my partner, as it is the only time I feel free enough to do so. It isn't fair to him. I feel like I am breaking down, and am striving to deal with this while providing the best I can for my own family. Does anybody have any advice? This is really difficult for me.

what did you do? Does your whole world come to an end? Do you become suicidal with nothing to live for?

Many naturally occuring phenomena (eg, height, weight, IQ) follow what is known as the "normal" distribution (also known as the bell curve). Why is this?

I know that Y!A isn't the place to get diagnosed with a mental disorder, but since I can't afford a shrink at the moment, I'll make do with what I've got. I have been formally diagnosed with ADHD, but when I read about Asperger's syndrome, some of the symptoms sound eerily familiar. Like many with ADHD and Asperger's syndrome, I have poor social skills, I am not physically well-coordinated (I have a distinctive gait and I can't even ride a bike!), I sometimes speak in an inappropriate tone (too loud), and I have had difficulties in math. However, I feel that some of the descriptions of Asperger's don't necessarily apply to me. For example, it's said that aspies often fail to read facial expressions and often fail to appreciate sarcasm or irony. This definitely doesn't apply to me! I don't really know if it could be said that I have language peculiarities. I sometimes speak excessively formally, but I actually make it a point to do so, so that I won't come across as uneducated.

I've been reading some about ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. I've been formally diagnosed with ADHD, and I suspect that I might have Asperger's syndrome. However, it seems to me that the two have an awful lot in common. After all, both ADHDers and aspies sometimes tend to miss subtle social cues, speak in an inappropriate tone, take figurative speech literally, be physically awkward, and have difficulties in math and handwriting. Since the two disorders have so many similarities, is it possible for a person to be diagnosed with one disorder, but actually have the other disorder instead?

There's this "girl" at work who is clearly a man. She wears way too much makeup to hide her stubble, has no woman hips, and has a manly build/face. She told 1 manager that she has 3 kids and a husband. Her drivers license said she was born in 1981. Her sex/gender is scratched out. She said she got married at 12 and has been married 25 years... Her oldest kid is supposedly 15. So being married at 12 with a 15 year old makes her about 37. But by her license she's only 26. Then just the other day she told someone else that she was born in 1964 which would make her over 40. She looks around her early 30's but it's hard to tell with all the makeup (you can clearly see the line where makeup ends and skin begins).

She's also lied about many other things at work from money to kids. She also said she got her tubes tied but then complained about cramps... I'm wondering if she can't help it or if she knows what she's doing and there's a possibility of some other mental issues. Any thoughts?

in life what is the most important lesson you have learned??
mine would be... if you are going to take the time to destroy something be sure to start growing something else before hand... for when the thing you destroy is gone you still have something to take care of.

A reasearch project, which can be literature review, naturalistic observation, an experimental study, and interviewm or a survey. Topic related to developmental pyschology. It should be SPECIFIC rather than general. Nothin broad like genetics. Ex. "How genetics factors affect a persons temperament and personality: A review of monozygotic twins raised apart,' theoretical perspectives on a child psychology should be relied on to organixe my paper.
