It doesn't. The fear of not being loved is what makes you sad.

Normally you would feel happy, not sad. So something must be bothering you about the relationship. (It is possible that something other than the relationship is making you sad, but that is not what you are implying.)

A person would feel sad if they are in love with someone who doesn't love them, or if that person is in another relationship such as a married person. In order to feel sad about being in love with someone, you must believe or suspect that the relationship will fail, or it was doomed from the start, and/or the relationship is painful, like you are being abused.

Think about these possibilities and see if one or more of them fit your situation. If so, I hope you will know what you really need to do to, even if your heart tells you something different.

Something is wrong here, and I think at some level you know what it is.

To be in love is to feel vulnerable. You don't have power over the situation. Some people think it will be gone tomorrow and that worries them. Love can only be experienced in the present, the here and now. Live in the present and savour every minute of it, you lucky girl.

I'm no expert, but you're probably not in love your just infactuated with him? However over time you may feel happier about this. Chances are there's something else making you feel nervous.

are you entirely sure it's love? I'm sure that's not how it's meant to feel, but I don't think anyone could give you a concrete answer either.
