You know the dreams as if the people who pass on are still with us, why are we able to see them in our dreams as if they are still alive?

Your dreams can be about people who have passed on as well as people you have never met or ever encountered before. Dreams are the window to your imagination as well as the subconscious. Perhaps these people have been influential to you in some sort of way, and whether you know it or not, you are thinking of them. That's all that means. If you think about elephants, you will dream about them and all that you know to be associated with them. It's no big deal.

I won't begin to guess what happens after we die, but how come we can dream that we're able to fly or that we are having sex with a movie star? They're dreams and anything can happen in a dream. Maybe it's your late grandmother trying to connect with you in a subconscious mind, but maybe it's just your imagination running wild.

dreams reflect what is going on in your mind, so if you consciously or subconsciously are thinking of a loved one who passed or you come across something that reminds you of him/her, then chances are you'll see him/her in a dream
