whats more troubling is i am becoming more and more uncomfortable with my own skin. i hate the way i look, I've gained a lot of weight, i wanna change my casual wardrobe to more alternative rock style or emo, but i dunno how...

When do you think a person is "old"?

A few nights ago, I had a dream about an ex-boyfriend that I cared deeply about (and still do). The dream was set in a college-like setting (I'm currently going to college part-time). It was the first day of classes and I was on my way to class when I saw him down the hall (oddly dressed in the same outfit my husband was wearing that day...). When I saw him, I screamed "OMG! What are you doing here?" and ran to hug him. We caught eachother and gave each a mighty and firm hug. I walked with him to his class and said that we need to talk afterwards and he said ok and he would call me. I said ok even though I knew that he wouldn't call me. I ran to my class and felt like I was torn between being happy and disappointed about the meeting. What does this mean? I'm kinda weirded out because my husband and I had some trouble simular to this a while back and I dont know if I might have said something in my sleep about it or not (I'm not prone to talking in my sleep but I've done it before..)

Ok even though i havent ever been in one I was thinking aobut it and i realizeed that i can understand how hard it can be to leave. Because i have tendencies to try to please everyone and i constantly need to be loved and I am afraid to be alone. so if you have been in a violent relationship and you had the strength to leave. type you name and pat yourself on the back because thats amazing.

Freud asserted that it is the libidinal ties which unify the members of the crowd. Smelser asserts that collective behavior occurs when people perceive that there is no other means to attain the desired goal.in his opinion, collective behavior arises when the normal institutions do not help.

Lets face it: as human beings, we can accomplish many things...but I believe willpower is the basis that allows us to go far in life.

I would like to learn how to develop your own willpower, because everyone wants to be a bigshot, eh?

I frequently hear men say that they are visually sexual, meaning some aspect of their biology relies on visual stimulus for sexual arousal. Some point to the diverse marketing of women's bodies as evidence of this. The statement seems do shun the "nurture" side of the nature V nurture argument, so I am curious: Does science lend any credence to some biologically visual development in human male sexuality?

ok my b/f of 3 years mother just passed away. he is taking it really hard which is understandable...its just when it happend he didnt want me to leave his side and then the past couple of days he dosent want to talk to me or see me, he will see his friends and talk to them but when it comes to me he pushes me aside. i know hes grieving i am too but i would think since i was there for the whole time she was sick and became part of the family he would need me...or at least want to talk to me. we handle gried differently he dosent want to talk about it and i do, but i havent said anything about it or how i feel i just listen to him and comfort him, so am i doing somthing wrong? is this just how he is taking it? i just feel even more alone, me and his mom were close and i cant even be with someone who i love and who loved her too...

I always have fun. For example, I work a very hard, physical job. The part of the department I work in is the hardest job in the whole building. I love it. My team and I take pride in our work and have a blast every night. We are the only team to do this job night in and night out. The other teams that rotate in and out of our area do nothing but gripe about taking their turn at the job. I just shake my head and smile.
The thing is I would always rather be home or out doing something other than working, but I need to earn a living. I decide a long time ago I was going to what ever I had to do to the best of my ability and have a good time doing it. If I have to work I'm going to have fun with it. I've surrounded myself with people who think like I do and we have a blast every night.
I've come to realize the attitude in a situation is much more important to happiness than the situation it self.
How about you? Do you enjoy life wherever you are and whatever you are doing?

I mean, i'm sure everyone knows that the heart is a muscle, so saying that its responsible for emotion is like saying that the bicep is responsible for how i feel. We all know the brain is responsible for emotion, so why do we still glorify a muscle for what has to be an important part of the human psyche?
