Ok even though i havent ever been in one I was thinking aobut it and i realizeed that i can understand how hard it can be to leave. Because i have tendencies to try to please everyone and i constantly need to be loved and I am afraid to be alone. so if you have been in a violent relationship and you had the strength to leave. type you name and pat yourself on the back because thats amazing.

Thanks for the subject. It really is hard for the victim. (been there, done that!) Everybody always says that it would never happen to them...it can happen! I thought I'd never I'd fall for it either, he LOVED me. My heart & my head knew I didn't do anything wrong, but the abuser is so good at playing mind games, you doubt yourself. Most women stay because they have been told nobody would ever love them, etc. Their self esteem is at the lowest point and are afraid of what other people will think of them.

If you ever suspect abuse, please be caring and understanding. There are safe houses for women and their children, encourage them to get help.

Thanks again! God bless.

My name is Steve, and I have survived an abusive childhood, not sexually, thank GOD,but definitely violent, and verbal. Then when I grew up I thought I was in love and the girl turned out to be Sybil,3 personalities, one sweetheart, one bitchy, then one totally monster. She about killed me in my sleep one night for no apparent reason. She was institutionalized for along time. Her psychiatrist told me she had multiple personality disorder with borderline paranoid schizophrenia, and I was lucky she didn't kill me.I thank God everyday she missed my vital organs!
