I'm 23 years old and have always lived with my parents, as I've been finishing up my B.A. I've never had a job because I'm a full time student. I look around me and see people getting married and having kids and I'm like wow im not even close to feeling responsible for such things, or I'll read a book and a enjoy a story with characters in their twenties doing things - normal things like careers and stuff. And it will hit me this is what people my age do but im still shocked that im actually at such an age and not a kid anymore (technically). I hope I explained it enough.

especially on weekends, or when the weekend approaches. What is this phenomenon? Can anyone explain it? I know others have noticed it with themselves also.

If you have plans, you focus and get stuff done before leaving.

If you know you ain't going anywhere, you do absolutely nothing!! You actually waste MORE time by not going out.

Am I the only one like this?

Ok, I know this may sound stupid but here it goes. I just got an Xbox 360 for Christmas. I really like video games. When I got home from the movies today, my dad told me that he had to return it. This means that all of our progress in the games was lost. Although it wasnt a lot, it made me think about what I should do. Should I go back and do it all over again? Or should i try something else, and if so what? Or can I do both?

Do you think you would have an easier time murdering a human rather than another animal lets say... a dog? Do you have a general hatred of humanity that would allow you to murder them easier?

My 1st love and the father of my 2 kids died 2 yrs. ago in Feb. We had divorced many yrs ago but had tried to make it work many times. I remarried 10 yrs ago and he after 25 yrs remarried for 3 mos. b/4 he died. He was my heart and I was his. Why do I dream about him all the time? This AM I woke up with the thought I want to be where he is. Am I just sad be cause of the holidays or is this something else? I have dreamt about him from the day he died but not on an everyday basis. Please, help me to understand if you can. Thanks!

is it too late to develop common sense now at 18?
i grew up with a maid and a driver for fifteen years. finally, we stopped having them. then i realized how much i lack. now, im way better almost 3 years later..but sometimes i still find myself deficient...one time, i took the e train so i can get the A train at port authority. it was my first time to be at that station. But i recalled there was the A train at that station, but still i took the E train! ive been more responsible but im afraid its been just out of routine, but not really developed common sense...( i get good grades at school tho and admired by some but im not as smart as i seem to them..sigh) ...can i still improve? if i expose myself to more 'practical experiences', can i still gain common sense?

"naznzfz" had asked a question about our brain potential and so I wanted to know alittle more. Whats holding us back from using more then that 10%? what kind of power or abilitys are we capible of? We use our bodies everyday and know how to utilizie it. (not 100% but a number way up there). I know we use our brains more so why cant we unlock it to its full potential?

Is there any evidence that patients start exhibiting traits of a certain condition if they are told that they have that condition? If so, are doctors aware of this when seeing patients over a period of time.

I ask because a friend of my had slight mental problems with anger and then goes and sees a psychologist who said he was Bipolar and now since he has a "condition" he is getting more extreme and fitting the characteristics of the condition more.

Lets say you had to save one of these two people life and if you saved one the other would die because you could not get to them in time. Would you save your old mother (lets say this is a time when your mother is very old) or a 4 year old child? Choose you selfish pigs..

I am interested in getting a PsyD with a concentration in either Family Counseling, or Sex Therapy. I have between a 3.5 and a 3.6 and am a Junior (with Senior status) at Michigan State University. I am in several organizations (president of two) and do community service regularly. I am starting to look at graduate schools, but would really like some suggestions. If you have a PsyD, how did you like the program you were in and are you glad that you went for the PsyD rather than the PhD? Also, what classes would you recommend taking as an undergrad? Thanks for the help :)
