The "we only use some small percent" of our brains thing is an urban myth, see my source for more information on that. In reality we use all of our brains, even if our conscious mind doesn't take up the whole thing. Instead, different parts of the brain are used for different things.

I think Orientals use more of their brains than Occidentals. One way it shows up in their musical scales. We have 8 notes and Orientals have something like 24 in their Chromatic scales. If you listen to their music played on their native instruments it sounds like space music. Also, they come up with very cleaver inventions.
