If you were to purposefully develop your own delusion, when you awaken from that hypnotic state would you be able to see through the mechanism of all other delusions and how they robotize people?

last night i had a dream about a family that was getting abused by a poltergeist. the dad kept making up excuses for why it was doing this and the dog (which looked exactly like mine) kept barking at it. the house that they were in looked like the one that i used to live in. the family stayed there and took the abuse until the ghost tore up their house while they were eating fried chicken at dinner then they moved. thats when i woke up. what might my dream mean?

I have a lot of weird dreams...but last night I dreamt that long dark coarse hairs had grown from the tips of my thumbs! What the hell does that mean?

My boyfriend has a serious problem following directions. He listens to the instructions and then it seems he skews them in his brain or something. For example: this morning he had to walk 4 blocks to work. We live on East 38th Street and his job today was on East 38th Street as well. I told him to go out of the house and walk down the block, the name of the first street he would come to, etc. Somehow he wound up 10 blocks in the other direction. I know if it had been me, I would have known something was wrong within 2 blocks (when I saw the numbers going down) and turned around or asked for help. He became very fustrated (he always does when things aren't going his way) and blamed the neighborhood for getting him lost. So I guess my question is really has several aspects: Why is he having so much trouble, how can I get him to acknowledge that it's him, not the universe/neighborhood/etc, and what can I do to help?

For the last few years I have found myself getting angry often and I feel my temper flaring. It is not a good feeling and I find it difficult to control. I am 40 now and usually I am a passive friendly happy man. My life has not been going well lately (lost job, wife and kid) mostly due to my being unable to handle stress.

I can't find my way back to where I started, I'm not sure I want to go back there anyway. What are my options?

He who wanders, is not necessarily lost.

I'm not wandering...I'm just lost!

Example: the wrong person saying hello, crossing paths with people, the wrong pitch of sound or noise period. We all have those days. I just wanna know how others handle them.

I had a theory.......It is what stupid people do to compensate for the fact that they can not figure out how things in the real world work.

I have a recurring nightmare of watching my husband have sex with other women. He never hears me screaming at him, nor does he feel it when I bite him or whatever. He just goes right on and usually he ends up telling me he is leaving me. I have it almost every night, it sucks.

Have you ever had a similar dream? What did you do to make it stop? What should I do, it's driving me insane?

By "thought", I mean any notion/idea/comment/saying etc. that goes through the person's brain.

By "average person", I mean a regular "Joe Bloggs" person with say around a 100 IQ (i.e. isn't a fool or a genius).

By "day", I mean the waking hours so roughly 16 or 17 hours.

I noticed that because I took part in BBC hardspell last year, and I thought it would be easy, but it's not! I was the best speller in my school because we always wrote our spellings down when we had spelling tests, but when it came to the BBC Hardspell competition, we had to do it orally. It was harder, but I was proud of myself because I became the 8th best speller in Southeast England! They didn't show me on TV, though, which really sucked.

My mom had a dream about an old boyfriend of mine whom she never met. She saw his brother (whom she also never met) in her dream wearing make-up. I, myself, also had a couple of dreams about the same boyfriend. What do you think this means? Thanks in advance:)
