last night i had a dream about a family that was getting abused by a poltergeist. the dad kept making up excuses for why it was doing this and the dog (which looked exactly like mine) kept barking at it. the house that they were in looked like the one that i used to live in. the family stayed there and took the abuse until the ghost tore up their house while they were eating fried chicken at dinner then they moved. thats when i woke up. what might my dream mean?

Go get yourself a dream dictionary, hardly anyone on here is going to be able to analyze a dream, and if they do they are probably quoting a dream dictionary.

thats very difficult question to answer.. and i dont think anyone is going to answer this horrible(sorry to say) dream.. ! ! !. u better ask some teacher of this subjects etc... best of luck ...
