How do you argue with an immature adult?

To deal with an immature adult is not the easiest thing to deal with as being a child myself and i have a step farther who is immature! He'll walk into the living room and turn the t.v off just to annoy me and i really gets to me! The other night we ordered a curry and i walked into the kitchen and said where is mine he said piss of your under the feet annoyed at his arrogance i turned off the light, to conclude from telling my story i say play them at there own game, some may see this as sinking to their level, but revenge actually seems quite fun as they don't seem to get a buzz out of annoying you anymore,its now you getting a buzz out of annoying them! xxxxktxxxx

so you know my brother---I ignore him. If he starts to argue with me and acting like a 15 year old, I tell him that when I want to argue with a child, I'll call him up. I just walk away from him and wait until he can discuss the matter like an adult. The more you argue, the happier he is-I don't stoop to his level of maturity. considering that you want to argue with this individual, the question arises ''who is more immature?''. Logic, fully thought out, is the best form of discussion, however, training your mind to follow logical trains of thought requires steady practice over years. until you can do this, dont argue with anyone, as without logic, it is only an opinion anyway. you MUST be able to prove your point in order to convince anyone to change their mind. this is the problem with politics and religion...people have been indoctrinated to think that what they ''believe'' holds more sway than fact.

You could tell him/her that if they want to sit at the big people table, they need to stop behaving as a high chair tyrant. Seriously, I believe in the direct approach. If you are related to, or are fond of this person's redeeming qualities, then give him/her an honest reflection of how you experience their behavior. Perhaps they have no clue, and as a friend, you would be offering them a great gift that could impact the rest of their lives & relationships. If they continue to behave as a troll, then offer them a bit of cheese to go with their whine. Good luck!

Whenever they say something, out smart them and don't say anything back, and don't let them see that they've made you angry in anyway.

Just remember what my dad always told me about some guy I hated who was an immature adult, "Katie, the guys a ******* *** hole, when he says something to try and make you feel bad just look at him like 'do you really think your **** is gonna make me feel bad?' then talk to someone else.
