After the spate of reports where suspects of violent or sexual crime have been said to suffer either bi-polar illness (manic depression), unipolar illness (deep chronic depression) or schizophrenia, it would seem every one of them did what he or she is alleged doing because of illness. Do you buy media hype about these illnesses which in reality do not create more violent personalities or behaviors than any in the general population? Why does the media make such a point of noting a suspect's mental illness and never saying that his/her behavior is an aberration even among sufferers, and is not typical of that mental illness? For you among sufferers, as I am, what do you think of this labeling? I'm getting tired of hearing that the first thing mentioned about a suspect is that he is "bi-polar."

They for a long time has been a Republican and for Bush along with being a flag waver, nothing wrong with that BUT!!! He always call me a “bleeding-heart liberal and Anti-American” what ever that means, last week he took his flag down and yesterday he start talking to me about how he is Anti- Republican, should I trust him or is he setting me up?

My mother I believe may have histrionic Personality Disorder. Please don't suggest to not diagnose her. It is merely what I believe she has. She constatly says that her doctors kiss her on the cheek always using the same phrase (He just brushed his lips across my cheek) -same when she changed doctors. She also spends large amounts of money (she snuck and got a loan behind her husbands back and by the time he found out the money was gone). In addition, she lies. She once told me she had borderline lukemia. No such thing. So I spoke with the nurse practitioner who said that she never diagnosed her with that and it did not exist. She immediately phoned my mother and my mother told her that she had a crazy daughter and then my mom phoned my church and left a terrible message about me (I am very active in my church) and everything she said was not true. These kinds of things just keep going on...looking it up seems histrionic. For those of you who can answer...is there any way to ...

Ah! here's the deal...
I am good friends with this guy that I've known since three yrs. old.
When we were seven he moved on the otherside of america. We have been writing letters ever since (but now we email) and we do it so often that I kno him pretty well by now, even thou we're thousands of miles away :(. Sometimes we exchange pics and stuff. But he's also a writer and sends me his stories, which I read, even thou they're so freakin long. Recently he wrote a story about the failed attempts he's had in keeping a girlfriend. When I was reading I couldn't help but feeling really jealous. He's wonderful, but clearly I'm out of my brains, and he will end up settling and falling in love with a girl in his own state.I have trouble facing this, we have so much in common and are always there for eachother, and have been for the past 14 years.It freaks me out that I'm this attached, I can't stand to face the truth.And I'm afraid once he finds a very serious relationship, we might lose touch
