Keeping silent puts people in submission.
Freedom of Speech let your voice be heard.
Victims of abuse must not stay silent. It's not your fault, don't let your voice be silent.

Yes, but most people regret things undone or not said than those that were.

It is just plain stupid to get into an argument that you know you cannot win and know will make no difference to the other person (other than make he or she mad).

Feel strong emotions toward some socially forbidden? If you express these emotions (in word or deed) expect the social structure to come crashing upon you.

Yelling the word "FIRE!" in a crowded room is always a bad idea, even if true.

Yes words can create more trouble than if they kept silent. Somethings are better not said.

Actually it depends on the situation and just what the words are and the possible outcome(s) of the other party. Sometimes, some things are better left unsaid, but then u'll never know what will happen unless it is said, right? hmm..

yes this is actually an issue with speed.....the mouth is quicker than the brain....a lot of things said that cause trouble...were never really intended to cause trouble....just ppl let the mouth win the race.
