Whant can we do to save the only home we've got. AThere is so much going on: global warming, slavery, starvation, domestic violence, un-curable diseases, money problems. Is there a way to make it end? And why does it happen. I am deeply sorry if this question has offended anyone.

An almost universal human phenomenon is that as education and income increase- child numbers decrease (with few exceptions).

Why do you suppose this exists- especially in Western nations where access to contraception, termination, vasectomy, tubal ligation and family planing/sex education are extremely accessible?

What can we do in the West to decrease this undesirable social phenomena especially teen unwed pregnancies (which statistically clearly illustrate poverty/welfare dependency)?

A few weeks ago, we had tens of thousands of people lined up around the block waiting to buy $500-600 cell phones, many to be used by young children, terrified that the stores might run out or that the quality might not be up to expectations.

Tomorrow night, tens of thousands more will be lined up around the block to buy the lastest "Harry Potter" children's novel, while the debate rages as to which fictional characters might die.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world, people line up around the block to buy a loaf of bread or a quart of milk or a sack of flour, hoping the store doesn't run out first. And for millions more, the only reading materials are billboards, if that.

Anything wrong with this picture? For the sake of argument, that is.

So I work in a hospital. This lady came in with this 7-year-old little girl. The age requirement to visit a patient is 12. The mom went in the room and the little girl waited for her sister to come out.

When the sister came out she held the door open and said, "Shes too young to come in? She was there yesterday".

I said, "Either way, we would still have to ask the nurse".

She said, "What ever". She grabbed her sister and said, "Come on mamas, theyre stupid. Thats why you cant see your grandma".

Would you still call the nurse and ask for permission, or would you not even bother?

The great debate of homosexuality and how one develops into this classification of people is strongly biased from many angles. However, coming from a purely scientific view, evidence suggests that there is a combination of genetic and environmental factors that ultimately determine the path one follows. My question is, has this type of sexuality always been a part of humanity dating back to the dawn of man? Is there evidence suggesting that homosexuality is a "defect" in the DNA sequence and it goes against the natural order of things? Mainly, has homosexuality or homosexual behavior always been a part of history? Even dating back millions of years and including present day animals?

It seems to be the most popular question on here. Are youth's so uneducated that they don't know what makes you pregnant? And if they really wanted to know, why aren't they getting tested? Sorry, I just don't understand how so many can be so ignorant. Please feel free to educate me, don't need to cuss me out, I really am just curious.

hi...i'm a 24 yr old woman. i recently married my bf of 7 yrs...i had moved in with him when i turned 18 and got pregnant within a month. i was studying at that time and didn't want anything to tie me down. so i aborted the baby without telling my bf. now i'm quite well-settled in life and i married the love of my life. i couldn't hold it to myself anymore and told him that i had aborted our child long back. he was very angry.....i just blew his mind. he's upset i did that and said that i didn't even think once of asking him before doing it. i know wat i did was wrong and am ready to make it up to him....he's just too angry with me to even listen. wat do i do?
one more thing...i've been off the pill for 2 months now and have still not conceived. how long does the pill take to get out of the system? i'd really like to start a family now and make it up to him...how do i make him come around?

This is going to sound like a strange question. What is it that causes some men to become violent towards their partner when she becomes pregnant. Homicide is one of the leading causes of deaths in pregnant women (Laci Peterson and Jesse Davis) in the US. Some studies have shown that domestic violence increases when a woman is pregnant. Can someone explain to me what goes through these guys' heads? Don't hold back. I really want to know.
