So I work in a hospital. This lady came in with this 7-year-old little girl. The age requirement to visit a patient is 12. The mom went in the room and the little girl waited for her sister to come out.

When the sister came out she held the door open and said, "Shes too young to come in? She was there yesterday".

I said, "Either way, we would still have to ask the nurse".

She said, "What ever". She grabbed her sister and said, "Come on mamas, theyre stupid. Thats why you cant see your grandma".

Would you still call the nurse and ask for permission, or would you not even bother?

yeah just call the nurse to be on the safe side so that YOU don't get in trouble - hopefully once you tell them the situation they will either talk to them about it and they will feel stupid or let it go - either way its your job - who cares what dumb patients think.

....and what else would be better is if you killed them with kindness...literally over-do it so it bothers the crap out of them...sorry thats what i do hahaha

Yes i would still call. You are talking about a young child here, assuming the sister is a child as well. They also may be under some other stress due to their grandma being in the hospital. I think you should try to do whatever you can to accommodate their needs even though they obviously need to be taught some manners.
