It seems to be the most popular question on here. Are youth's so uneducated that they don't know what makes you pregnant? And if they really wanted to know, why aren't they getting tested? Sorry, I just don't understand how so many can be so ignorant. Please feel free to educate me, don't need to cuss me out, I really am just curious.

Your right, the only reason I ask that question is because I am alittle uneducated. I want to learn more, im 21, getting married, and ready to start my life. I want to have a family as soon as I can. I also feel like I can talk about it more freely on here and people won't judge me as much as if it were anyone else. So really theres no other reason why I do it. But for other people I can't really explain.

Oh, I know each time I was pregnant, I wanted to know RIGHT AWAY. So if I started suspecting on the weekend, or late at night, or when I didn't have a test, I probably would have posted on here! And I am married and well educated. You're just so excited and stressed whether you want to be pregnant or not. So for many people it could just be wanting some encouragement or reassurance or whatever. But for some, this probably feels like a safe way to get an idea without having to publicly purchase a test or visit a doctor.

I agree with you. I see that some don't bother to buy a OTC test to find out. I guess it is ignorance because a mother must have taught her daughter all about menstruation and pregnancy and the symptoms that are for both. But I guess that some are afraid to ask their mother for help or to see a doctor or to do the test and that is not right. I hope through this, some of the young girls who read this will understand that only they can find out through testing and with doctor's confirmation.

Only the truly uneducated would not realize that the possibility of being pregnant is such a significant event in a young one's life that the news of it simply must be shared with others in some way. : )

Ignorance is not the same as stupid.
Ignorance is lack of knowledge.

they ask here because they don't know where else to ask, they are worried, they want either information or reassurance.

Of course it makes more sense to take the test and be sure.

Yes, teenagers tell their teachers things about their beliefs about sex that are frightening in the degree of inaccuracy.
