A few weeks ago, we had tens of thousands of people lined up around the block waiting to buy $500-600 cell phones, many to be used by young children, terrified that the stores might run out or that the quality might not be up to expectations.

Tomorrow night, tens of thousands more will be lined up around the block to buy the lastest "Harry Potter" children's novel, while the debate rages as to which fictional characters might die.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world, people line up around the block to buy a loaf of bread or a quart of milk or a sack of flour, hoping the store doesn't run out first. And for millions more, the only reading materials are billboards, if that.

Anything wrong with this picture? For the sake of argument, that is.

The governments of the people lining up for bread, milk would use that propaganda against us, when it is our republic and free market system that they envy. You take away a person's choice and personal protection, and it is very easy to control and manipulate.

Communism and socialism are what hold people down....your example shows that clear!

You have an excellent point of view. Without going into the mechanics of why hatred of the type you talk about exists in the first place, secondary is always of this nature amongst humans to reflect in some manner or similar manner anyways. How many humans overcome this natural behavior and transcend to a level where such a dichotomy although natural as it may be is not the truth. That the anger itself is a hormonal flushing that can be addictive and in that you have anyone on any level.

Not everyone in the U.S. wants to use their money on a high priced phone or the fastest car or the coolest apartment. For me, the word is "priorities". The novelty of the new phone will wear off in a few months and people will move on to the next fad. We need to find someone or something that satisfies us deep within our souls. Things have never done it for me, I've tried. I don't consider myself financially poor. I would rather have personal peace than possessions. Peace within and peace with God... that's my journey. And along the way, I do help others, giving them a loaf of bread or some clothing. Maybe if they got to know us better, they wouldn't hate Americans.

Scene babies are basically posers, pretending to be non-comformists yet then all of them finding an identical. they're going to enhance out of it is going to truly. What i for my section hate is that maximum significant shops at the instant are catering for this actual type, so now that's even harder to stroll right into a keep & discover some respectable clothing; you're basically bombarded with little lady clothing in larger sizes. Ugh.

Yep, jealous of the greener grass.

Although people buying cellphones for their kids, especially overpriced ones, is fairly sickening even to me and I live here.
