To me, music is a intrusive noise. It gets in the way of my thoughts and prevents my structuring a sentence. Lately a friend has been trying to introduce me to some music he likes. Upon hearing my response to it, he said, "You seem to get the same things out of music as everyone else; you just don't seem to need any of it.

A few people had sent me mp3 files and to the untrained eye, I may have had a small music collection of about a hundred tracks. I deleted them all the other week, as a general clear-out of my hard-disc space. It didn't even cross my mind that people don't normally throw out their entire music collection (such as it was) because they'd rather have the space.

Can anyone else identify with this? Does it have a name? Oh, and in case you're wondering, I'm not tone-deaf or anything. I was tested for amusia last year and they concluded that I've got an excellent sense of pitch.

Just... dense... like a black hole or something! They don't even know it most of the time! DENSE!!
Like those people who don't know how a stop sign intersection works. The first person to pull up has the right of way, when in doubt yield to the person to your right, not "wow it feels like time to go I think I'll accelerate".
Oh, and by the way, it's NOT "ok" to not know where New Zealand and Afghanistan are on a globe, an idiot moron fool could tell you that. Some people need to be put into meat grinders to feed dogs more useful than themselves.

I have low confidence when it comes to talking to people in general. Mostly girls. My mind just freezes up and I cant think of anything to say. I want to meet new friends and have a gf for once. I am in college and i am friendless really besides at my job. I am wondering whats the best way to build up confidence to help me at least talk to people i do not know. I took up guitar and i was wondering if that would help me in the long run. I heard hobbies can help build self-confidence

I ve never really thought much of my dreams before...? I have recently been having dreams(almost everynight) of my ex. I am currently engaged with a child... and pretty happy.
I have these dreams of my ex boyfriend almost everynight... dreams of us getting back together, having a physcial relationship and speaking of our love for each other. When we ended it was on pretty bad terms and havent spoken in almost 2 years, we were very close for many years prior to this.
All this dreaming of him...do you think I am just subcousiously missing him or what1?

There is often a level of conflict between practitioners of the social sciences, and the natural sciences such as Physics, Biology and Chemistry (and Maths, though maths more properly qualifies as a language and an art).

To me, it seems that some great benefits may come from applying techniques and ideas from the physical sciences into the social sciences.

Some examples of where this is already proving to be true include statistical error analysis when conducting polls and surveys, control groups in psychological experiments which identify what factors contribute to outcomes.

so...

What techniques from the Physical Sciences can help Advance Understanding in Social Sciences?

Please stop sitting on the fence

I love you. I miss you everyday. I want to be with you. Can we please make a decision? It has been so many years now--it is not healthy for the soul.

If we really love each other--we need to find a way to be together. Tell me what I can do to make it happens?

If you don't love me--you need to let' me go. Stop write poems about me.

Thank you,

Me
