My ex-husband and I did for 15 years (I couldn't tolerate the pill)...and let me tell you, it's NOT the most effective method of birth control no matter how carefully and correctly you use it. We were careful- and I still ended up getting pregnant six times (3 children, three miscarriages) in that 15 year span. My husband refused to consider a vasectomy. Eventually I opted for the tubal ligation. And guess what? Less than six months later, I got pregnant again. (was one of the three pregnancies that ended in a miscarriage.)
So much for contraception...Just thought I'd share that with ya...lol!

I never do when I'm in a long term commited relationship.
I was going to guess 10%, but it looks like Patios has the stats there.

I would guess very very few. I would imagine the contraceptive pill to be by far the most popular method.
Although condoms are sometimes used in relationships, I suspect that is more often to do with avoiding STD transmission than contraception.

a lot where I live.being close to a fun loving country- it prevents stds too- this condom usage is generally at the wifes insistance

It sounds like you're not sure you don't want kids. So it would be stupid to have a vasectomy. Use condoms. Or if your wife is the one who's sure she doesn't want kids, she should get her tubes tied.
